This was very easy to install. My cat, Kitty, has been allowed outside for two years, so I wasn't sure how this was going to work. After only a little over a week, she is definately staying closer to home. There are a few areas where she has figured out how to climb on something and then jump over the fence, so you have to watch where you install it. We are going to be removing those items and hopefully she will not be doing that anymore. Start out on the low numbers like they say and then increase them if the cat doesn't respond. That is what we did and until we found a number, (3) that she responded to. I would definately get this if you want to keep your cat safe and in your yard. This also shipped much faster than the website said. We recieved it four days after we ordered it. We ordered it Thursday and it arrived Tuesday. It probably wouldn't take so long if we didn't have the weekend inbetween.
