"I purchased this a whim after discovering our hammy was pushing the CareFresh litter out the corner of her 10 gallon tank before peeing; needless-to-say, the smell was horrible and we were willing to try anything.
Simply stated; it works. We put down a layer of these aspen pellets and then cover them with the CareFresh bedding. She still clears the bedding, but leaves the pellets. The best thing about these pellets; not only do they absorb the urine (along with the smell) but they also revert back to their original wood pulp, clumping in the process! This makes cleanup a snap!
So if you have a furry friend who refuses to leave the traditional bedding in their bathroom alone, these pellets may work wonders. Thanks to Petco for offering so many options - finally found a nature-friendly solution for the smell! =)"
