Natural Balance Duck and Pea
Date: November 20, 2009
"I found that my adopted cat threw up any food with artificial dyes or preservatives. I was frantic to find a food that agreed with him, until an Internet search revealed Natural Balance Duck and Pea. He's thriving on it, both canned and dry. And it's also got rid of his dandruff. His coat gleams."

Help for special needs
Date: November 14, 2009
"This food is why my precious baby is alive. He has IBD and relted pancreas issues. It was horrible to see him constantly throw up and have diarrhea. With this food, his digestive tract is not irritated and he can be his happy, wonderful self."

Quality Food with Natural Ingredients
Date: November 7, 2009
"One of my 3 cats, her name is Porche, developed skin allergies and was losing some of her hair. The "Limited Ingredients Diet" ( L.I .D. ) really helped her hair get fuller and back to normal. So, I feed this to all my kitties. Plus, this food doesn't have all the "junk" fillers in it... which is NOT good for our Fur-Kids."

Usually great
Date: November 4, 2009
"My very sassy cat has eaten only this for 2 years now. He eats it without hassle. I have found that lately there seems to be a quality issue or maybe a formula change, the food seems looser (more waste) and smells even worse than usual. Otherwise a great product."

Excellent for food allergies
Date: October 4, 2009
"I have two cats who were both diagnosed with Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease in June. I was told they would need to be on a prescription diet for the rest of their lives. After looking at the ingredients I was a bit dismayed that it included meat by-products and corn.
After a month and a half on the new prescription wet and dry food, one of my cats developed horrible allergies. His face and neck were covered in painful sores. The other cat could not keep the prescription food down at all. My vet and I decided to eliminate dry food completely and began both cats on a prescription food with limited ingredients. Needless to say it was expensive and my cats didn't seemed thrilled with it.
I did some looking around and found Natural Balance L.I.D. Duck and Green Pea formula. Both cats love the food and their problems (allergies and GI issues) have cleared up. I also haven't had any problems with the FLUTD since changing to a wet food only diet. It may be a little more expensive to feed but it's definitely worth it! My cats are happier and healthier and I'm not paying vet bills constantly!"

First rate food
Date: July 14, 2009
"We like to rotate healthy food into our cat's diet, however, she is the PICKIEST eater. We've tried a lot of natural, organic food with little or no success.
This is one of the three brands she currently devours. She loves all of the flavors, including the limited ingredient formulas. The 3 ounce cans are also extremely convenient, as she won't eat leftover food (surprise, surprise) that's been refrigerated and then warmed up.
If you haven't introduced Natural Balance to your cat already, it's definitely worth a try."

Perfect for Allergies
Date: May 30, 2009
"I have three cats, one of which has a very sensitive stomach, and another who has food allergies. This has been the perfect treat for them to supplement the dry NB Duck and Pea. They love it, and I love that they can keep it down without any issues. If your cat has allergies, I recommend this so highly. It might seem expensive, but in the long run, I'm spending way less on the food than I was on vet bills."

Best Wet Food Ever
Date: March 3, 2009
"I have three cats and one will NEVER touch wet food. The fussy one gobbles this stuff up and it stays down. He is elderly so nutrition is important for him. Dick Van Patten makes a great product. I remember thinking, "Green Pea?" but all my cats love this stuff. It has no grains and that's important as cats don't need grains. Excellent product."

My picky eater loves this stuff!
Date: February 17, 2009
"The duck and green pea is the only canned food I've found that my Maine Coon, Finnegan, will eat an entire can a day of on top of his dry food. Normally if he seems to like a canned food, he'll still only nibble at it a little at a time and never finish even half. With the duck and green pea, he will eat an entire 1/2 can in the am, and the rest in the pm. That's wonderful for both of us, since after a recent injury and recovery, he has several supplements that he needs daily from the vet and he will still eat the food with all that mixed in. I'd been trying to incorporate more wet food into his diet for quite a while now anyway, since it's more ideal for cats to eat wet over dry and this has helped me achieve that goal. I'm so pleased to come home from work and see he's finished everything in his bowl, and licked it clean!"

Great food, just not for this cat
Date: February 14, 2009
"I love this food because it's little to no grain, which is great for cats, as well as getting 6 oz. of food for the same price as most 5.5 oz foods.
However, it isn't quite agreeing with my cat. He loves it when he's eating it! Not so much after the fact. That's probably just Galahad though, since I know a few other cat owners that have no problems."

Best I've Found
Date: December 30, 2008
"My husband and I are looking towards moving our cats to a raw food diet, and the Natural Balance Limited Ingredient formula food is the closest commercially-available stuff we've found. We'd prefer it if the food didn't have any vegetables in it and was just pure meat, but the cats seem to like it and after less than a month they're already looking healthier after getting them off that horrendous dry cat food."

1 out of 2 with a Sensitive stomach
Date: September 26, 2008
"I was so happy that both of our cats really liked it. We give them both half a can for a treat every few days. I have tired so many different wet food from natural to science diet. They never really cared for any except Fancy Feast. I always felt bad because we feed them good quality kibble Serengeti, but still feed them Fancy Feast. Now I don't have to worry anymore. I have finally found something that doesn't have by-products, grain and chicken."

Great product

"My cat loves this food. It smells like something I might want to eat. Cranberries are also added for kidney health (not in the product available from my vet)."

Great for fussy, sensitive eater
Date: June 14, 2008
"I just started this food for my sensitive cat. She's been on no-grain foods for a while, and they help- but they've been hard to find, and frankly, she didn't like a lot of them. She has really enjoyed this food (both canned and dry) and has gained weight. Her fur is feeling nicer, and she is more regular.
The cost is also a factor in my choice; it's priced at about the same as regular premium cat food, not the expensive veterinarian diets.
Take a look at the ingredients, the cost, and the taste (in the cat's view, not mine), and this is a great choice!
As an aside, if your pet does not need a limited ingredient diet with unique proteins, don't start it! Just look for quality ingredients with no grains. The sensitive diets should be reserved for problems, which can develop later in life, and you want this as an option then.

"I like Natural Balance, especially the venison & green pea for cats....Their coats are nice and sleek and no digestive problems like I've had with other foods."
