GREAT FOOD FOR DOGS WITH ALLERGIES!

"I have a 1 and a half yr old pekingese mix and she's got allergies. She scratches, and bites a lot. Since I started her on this food about a week ago she's DEFINITELY not scratching as much as she used to and she seems to have more energy. I'm so happy that my dog is more comfortable. I would ABSOLUTELY reccommend this food to other with dogs with allergies :)"

"I have two Bichons a male (8 months) and a female (4 months), my male was such a picky eater and my female had such red stains on her eyes it seems as if she was born with those stains when I got her.I tried a list of other dog food products and nothing worked .Until a Petco sales person recommand I try Natural Balance that was two months ago ,my babies love potato and duck the dry and can.My female eye stains are unnoticeable they are white fluff balls with no itchy skin,happy and eating well"

"Natural Balance just recently changed their formula for this food. The old formulas first four ingredients were Potato, Duck Meal, Duck, and Potato Protein.... Now the "New Improved Formula" is Potato, Duck, Potato Protein, Canola Oil....... They claim its better but you can see for yourself that the meat content is far less. Duck MEAL is better that just duck because just Duck includes water weight. Now its just a bunch of potato."

"This dog food is the best for my chihuahua's allergies!! He had terrible allergies, he was always scratching his red, inflamed eyes, scratching his skin and even losing patches of hair at one point!! He has had prednisone shots and tablets but they get expensive and are not good to use long term. I have been feeding him this food for less than a month and what a difference!! Beautiful coat, no scratching and best of all, he is not in pain since his eyes and ears are no longer red!!! I am so pleased with this food I just signed up for the Bottomless Bowl program!"

My Shih Tzu Loves this Food!

"I have a 5 1/2 old shih tzu pup who gobbles up this flavor very quickly. The food does have an affect on my dog's coat which looks great and his stool turns out firm so it makes for easy clean up. At a local petco, teams promoting the food gave away goodies, which I missed but fortunately a rep gave me some coupons, advice, and a goodie of my own. To know there are reps out there running their business after shifts ended, makes their name stand out even more. Service now is more important than ever in today's economy and to know there is a dedicated team providing great service, makes me want to become more dedicated to their brand as well."

"I have a golden retriever that ihas allergies. I tried her on the sweet potato venison but it didn't go over well. I don't think she cared for the taste so decided to try the potato duck and she loves it. So far so good we have only been on this food for couple weeks. But I feel much better feeding it to my beautiful girl. My min pin even enjoys it. She doesn't have any allergies and has her own food but it doesn't stop her from sneaking it from the goldens dish. I might just switch her over to it too. I would recommend this food to anybody that wants a great food."

"When we first got our puppy she was sick all the time. She was constantly throwing up, having diarrhea, chewing her paws, sneezing and had goo coming from her eyes. We took her to the vet who said that she had allergies, and recommended an elimination diet - changing the food that she was on in order to find out what she was allergic to. After the 12th or so bag of dog food, and a still miserable puppy, we took her back to the vet and paid for an allergy test.
When we got the results we found that she was allergic to the world. She had envionmental allergies, food allergies, allergies to other animals and bugs, allergies to medications, the list went on and on. Because the pup can't have chicken, turkey, wheat (which means she can't have anything with flour), oats, barley, green peas, etc. finding dog food was near impossible. With a lot of research, we found she could safely eat Natural Balance Potato and Duck, Natural Balance Venison and Brown Rice, Natures Variety Prairie New Zealand Venison Medly, California Natural Lamb and Rice, Old Mother Hubbard Wellness Simple Food Solutions Duck and Old Mother Hubbard Wellness Simple Food Solutions Venison.
We switched her to the California Natural and her diahhrea and vomiting stopped overnight. She became a happy puppy. Unfortunately, as it turned out, we were the only family buying that dog food in the city, so the store discontinued carrying it. On the up side, we found that PetCo carried the Natural Balance and switched to that. Although we couldn't ease her into the new food, the transition went well; her stomach was fine and she liked eating. I was especially happy that she had two options to choose from, with a pup allergic to so many things, choice is a rarity. She preferred the Potato and Duck amd has been doing well on it ever since. Strangers are always commenting on how soft and shiny her coat is."

"I have had my three Yorkies on more brands of premium dog foods than I can even recall. This is the only dog food that has cleared up their skin issues 100%. In addition, two of my dogs suffer from severe gastrointestinal problems. Since I started them on this food seven months ago, neither one of them has had any issues. In fact, my male dog has had a problem keeping his food down ever since he was a pup, and he would regurgitate at least once a week. He has not regurgitated once since he began eating this food. I recommend it to everyone, and I am forever grateful to the person who referred NB to me, as I believe it has given me healthier and happier dogs."

"My boston terrier Rocky has been eating this food for about a week now. He loves, loves, loves the taste of it. I've even been using some as treats! We switched from another high quality food (wellness core) and he still has his super shiny coat and his sensitive skin seems under control. We also did a 1 day switch (no transition period) and it was so easy on his tummy he didn't even have loose stools! I love that it is grain free without having a super high protein content. Other sites mark it down for that, but not every dog needs 45% protein content! The hypoallergenic formula is fantastic too as so many dogs have food sensitivities and this is a great alternative to all the chicken and grain based foods out there."

"I recently adopted a dachshund with lots of skin issues as well as digestive issues. In an attempt to find a new protein source to try I decided to try the NB Potato and Duck Formula since it's pretty straight forward in its ingredients. Not only has my dog's skin gotten much, much better, but she absolutely loves this food whereas she was somewhat picky before. In addition, I have been able to get all three of my dachshunds onto the same food whereas before they were eating three different foods. And like it? They think they've died and gone to Dog Food Heaven!!!"

"My Maltese was having problems with allergies and is a very pickey eater. I found the Natural Balance Potato and Duck Foumula to be terrific! Her coat is much prettier and easier to groom. She is eating much better now and her health has obviously improved. I am so thankful for this dog food!"

Allergy Relief!

"My, 8 year old, shepherd/chow mixed Jake, developed skin allergies. I first tried to bathe him with allergy relief shampoo's several times a month and I noticed no change. My vet suggested that I try a prescription dog food provided by my vet, that was for allergy prone dogs. For 6 weeks I used this prescription food with great results but the cost was very expensive. With some investigation, I came across a review for Natural Balance Potato and Duck formula(grain and allergy free)and tried it. It took 2 weeks of this food to kick in and then the changes started. Jake's dandruff slowly lightened, then disappeared, his black fur became so shinny and soft!The hair shedding became minimal. His runny nose stopped, his attituded changed from being sleepy all the time to being like a playful puppy again! His consumption of food at dinner time lightened, his excrement became less,(but alittle more stinky). Four months later, the results are still the same. Since this discovery, I have put my other Shepherd dog and three cats on Natural Balance formula food as well as their line of dog and cat treats. I'm so grateful for this line of product. My animals are happy and comfortable and I know I am doing good for them. Price wise, the product line is alittle more expensive, but when you break it down, between vet visits, medications, worry, and seeing positive results, its well worth the price. My animals are my children, so I'm happy that they are happy. To the Dick Van Patten's and the product line, Thank You! And Petco for carrying such a great product!"

"I have two Yorkies. My older Yorkie (2 yrs old) was diagnosed with a beef allergy. I tried several different foods with him and couldn't get him to eat it regularly. When he did eat he would still show symptoms of allergy like itching, licking, etc. It turned out that he also had a wheat allergy. I tried several different kinds of foods but this was the only one that he ate. He also stopped itching shortly afterward. Both he and my smaller little girl (9 months) love it. No more bald spots or red pads on his hands or feet and both of their coats are shiny and healthy."

"My small dog (11lbs) did very well on the regular potato and duck but the size of the kibble was a problem for her. So I put her on another brand that had small size kibble but her allergies started to act up again. I was so happy when the bite size came out! It's kibble that's smaller than any she's tried in the past (puppy kind included). So needless to say, my little mutt is thoroughly enjoying her meals these days. Would recommend for any small dog, even ones that aren't bothered by food allergies. They love the taste and it's easy for them to eat."

"My baby Chinese Crested was having a multitude of problems with her skin due to food allergies. We change to Natural Balance and saw a marked improvement. We highly recommend this product. Both of our crested dogs love it. Even the older one who grazes on his food now eats his whole meal when served. But because it easily digested, dogs will need go out to "make #2" more often."
