"My very small chiihuahua puppy has been eating this food every since the day I brought her home from the people I purchased her from and she loves it , I have even used it in her training classes as training treats. I don't believe that there will every be a day that she will ever need another form or brand of food, but if that day comes I will look for one of the other choices of Natural Balance for my 4 ib chihuahua and feel very comfortable knowing she is eating an excellent food of high quality. I know my sweet Blanca give her paw of approval."

"My girls have been on the larger Natural Balance ultra for quite some time, and with the change, their coats became beautiful and shiny. However, when my older Japanese Chin started having teeth problems, she didn't want to eat. Now with the small bites version, she loves to eat again!"

"this food is wonderful! If you have a Puppy, you MUST switch the food out slowly, mixing it with the original food and wean the pup/dog off its old brand of food. U will have gas in the beginning... but 3 wks later (4 Bullys who have a more sensitive tummy!), u have a very healthy, happy, satisfied puppy!"

No more tear stains or hot spots

"I have been feeding my Bischon this food for 6 months. Prior to this he was plagued with brown stains around his eyes and on his feet where he would chew and constant 'hot spots'. He spent most of his days in a 'no chew' collar. He was a mess and not a happy puppy!! He had little energy and I just thougth he was no longer in the puppy frame of mind (He is 6 years old) I finally decided to try a food that had no chemicals in it. WHAT A CHANGE!! He is pure white with no eye drainage. He no longer chews himself and has great energy. Happy dog-happy owner!!"

This product did not work well for me

"I tried this product for several months with my toy poodle and he seemed to love eating the food but every few days he had terrible gas and indigestion. I took him off the food for two weeks and tried another product and he had no trouble with indigestion, this product did not work for my dog."

"My little dog was having severe digestive upset with the last food recommended by the Vet. I tried this product and she is now loving meal times. Her digestive tract has calmed down and she begs for the food if we are 5 minutes past her mealtimes! Seems like a BIG hit, at least so far."

"My chihuahua bogie has been having skin problems lately, he has had hot spots and non stop itching. So I slowly changed his food to natural balance, to make sure he wasn't consuming any byproducts...and for such a picky eater he LOVES IT! His skin problems have also started to get better...though I start giving him medicated baths along with the changed diet... but I would still recommend this food if you have a toy breed that is a picky eater!"

"I absolutely love this stuff. After switching my 8 week old Rhodesian Ridgeback from Diamond (which the breeder had him on) to this stuff, I've noticed significant changes in his energy level, coat, and stool consistency. Not to mention he LOVES THIS STUFF. The small bites formula is great for his little teeth and the ingredients couldn't be better for any dog."

"my very picky eating terrier mix finds this to be the only dry food she will consistantly eat. we have tried all the better brands like wellness, solid gold, innova, orijen, etc.. and she likes this best. when switching over to this food, i noticed a boost in energy and her coat looks wonderful. on walks, people have even commented on how good she looks. her coat just seems to glow. i free feed, and she stays at a prefect weight on her own, never gains or loses weight. i also supplement this with a 1/4 can per day of Natural Balance canned food, also the only canned food my dog never seems to tire of. with most others, she loves the first day, tolerates the second day, turns her nose up on the third day. we have been using this food for over 6 months now with great results.""

Finicky eater finally eats !!!!!!!!

"We only feed our dogs dog food with human grade meats. We had our german shepherd and our miniature pinscher on the same all life stage formula of dog food that was, we thought, nutritious and delicious. Our miniature pinscher never was all that excited about her food and at times we would have to play with her by tossing her pieces of food to chase to get her to eat. I was at petco.com and was just browsing the dog food selections and came across Dick Van Pattens brand. Not only did it meet our requirements in dog food but he gives a portion of the proceeds back to the animals!! I ordered it and figured I was throwing my money away, but Daisy loved it!! Now I can relax about her eating and she actually enjoys meal time. I would recommend this dog food to anyone with a picky eater or any dog."

"My husband & I did a lot of resaerch to find a well balanced, healthy food for our new Shih Tzu puppy. We decided on Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance Small Bites. After visiting numerous websites trying to locate this product, thankfully Petco carries it online and in a store near our home. The puppy loved it from the beginning as a meal and a training treat.
