Very Nice cage for small birds.
Date: September 1, 2009
""Pros
Good size for a couple budgies or a tiel.
Big front door. Over half the front of the cage swings out.
Lots of places to hang toys where they won't slide around.
1/2in bar spacing
Horizontal & Vertical wires.
Attractive.
Food cups are okay if you clip the *guillotine* doors shut, but I don't use them at all.
Zinc free paint.
No open top- safer.
Tray slides out easily for quick paper changes.
Door is easy to use.
Easy to clean.
Deep base helps catch pellet crumbs, seeds, etc.
The base is pretty sturdy & its easy to pick up by the sides of the base. I have picked it up by the wire a few times with no problems.
Dowels are contoured (wavy).... Better than basic dowels for sure; be sure to give a bird other places to stand too!!
Cons:
wire is more flexible than expected.
Guillotine style doors.... I tied them all shut. :)
Couple V shaped places that might catch a toe.
The wire grate does not slide out for easy cleaning, but it is optional.
I have 2 of these; one for each of my cockatiels. I've been very pleased with them overall. Both of my birds are quite comfy.... even with a wide variety of perches, toys, dishes, and the rest of their 'stuff' they still have room to flap for exercise and move around'.
I would not use this for any fid bigger than a tiel... and even then its only big enough for ONE per cage.
Good Job Petco."

Good for smaller birds
Date: February 21, 2009
"Ditto review of Dec. 12, 2008, exactly. Previous reviews were very accurate also. Nice cage for money if you wait for online sale price; just noticed regular price went up about $10. Works nicely for my 4 zebra finches. To clean floor wire and plastic base, I set cage on floor and disconnect wire cage portion from plastic bottom. I leave birds in cage and carefully lift from plastic base onto bath towel (lift from sides of cage and not handle on top). Birds stay in upper portion of cage with no problem. Takes about 15 minutes (monthly) and entire base can be thoroughly washed."

wrong name on this cage
Date: December 12, 2008
"This is a great cage but it should NOT be used for a parrot other than maybe a parrotlet and even than it is tight.
Please spend the time to research and get the right sized cage.
This would work for a couple finches or a budgie

Roomy, ideal for sedentary use
Date: August 8, 2008
"PROS: Very roomy, bars well spaced - safe for use of smaller birds (Budgies, etc.), warped perches, pull out tray at bottom for newspaper, 4 doors (3 slide up and 1 large door with hook to lock in place), comes with 2 clear plastic food containers, easy assembly - set mine up in 5 mins
CONS: very bottom heavy so its perfect if you don't move it around alot, sometimes sliding doors get stuck and only open halfway (fiddle with it a bit and it will open ), overall structure of bars is weak ("ceiling" doesn't align properly which makes this unsafe to carry around unless one hand is placed at the bottom of cage to hold it steady). If you use the both included containers you will not be able to use 2 doors (the container are kept in place by the doors. Can be difficult to clean bottom bars.
*DOES NOT come with ladder in the depiction. I recomend buying a separate ladder or opting for a swing
*I recommend using zip-ties for securing the corners of this cage onto the bottom half of the structure
My 2 budgerigars love this cage. They have plenty of room to fly around even with lots of toys in there too. I placed a cockatiel swing in the cage. This cage also comes with 2 plastic feeding containers. It's a nice clear plastic, not thin and flimsy. It comes with a little top piece to cover the food from debris or whatever, but I had to remove it because my birds like eating simultaneously but were not willing to use different food containers.
All in all, this cage isn't perfect but it's an excellent bargain. This cage's overabundance in space will allow you to play around with your bird's environment which will help you keep him mentally stimulated."

PARAKEET HEAVEN
Date: June 23, 2008
"I needed a bigger cages for my 4 parakeets. This is the perfect cage for them. Plenty of room to climb, fly up to their perches and stretch their wings. They absolutely love it. The only thing I wish the bars went the same way on each side of the cage. It makes it a little difficult to put smaller perches in the corners, unless you put those plastic caps on the ends. Overall, I really recommend this cage for a flock of parakeets (like mine) or cockatiels. There is plenty of space for them. It would be too big for just 1 or 2 parakeets. Very nice cage for the low price!"

Great cage for the $
Date: June 12, 2008
"I love this cage! I bought it online on sale then a week later it was even cheaper online so Petco.com did a price adjustment and I got an even better deal. Petco.com rocks! The shipping was free and it was delivered to my door a few days after I ordered it. It was easy to put together but of course I did pinch my fingers. The wire spacing is 1/2 inch so it's great for parakeets but I do agree with a previous review that it probably wouldn't be a good cage for larger birds. Mine came with two 3/4 inch diameter wood perches that are bumpy to work your birds feet, and two clear plastic water/feed cups that have a cover to help keep the water/food free from droppings. It has a pull-out tray for easy cleaning (it doesn't show up in the pic because it is put together backwards) and a wire grate in the bottom to keep the birds away from the liners/droppings. I love the main access door it's huge so you can reach anywhere in the cage, it swings open to the side and has a sliding latch to keep it closed there is also a smaller door in the main door. The wire coating is zinc-free. I bought this for my future parakeets and I'm sure that they will love it. It's a huge cage for the price and I'm very happy with my purchase. I wasn't crazy about the color at first but it has grown on me. It has both vertical & horizontal bars (great for climbing). Make sure you pick the cage up by the base because the plastic bottom is too heavy for the wire cage. Two thumbs up!"

"After a very long time looking for a cage for my 3 sugar pies (cockatiels).. I came across this one and absolutely fell in love with it. There's plenty of room for them and their toys. I haven't been able to get them out since and they adore it. I highly recommend this cage. It's great quality for a great price."

Wonderful Cage For Cockatiels
Date: June 3, 2008
"I just bought this cage for my cockatiel, and he absolutely loves it. There is alot of room for him to fly about...and for toys and fun things for him. I love it because of how easy it is to clean. I also like the fact the main door can open using the smaller one or the large one I can put my whole arm in for him. This is a perfect cage for a perfect price."

great cage for small parrots
Date: February 9, 2008
"Great cage for small parrots, don't plan to pick up assembled with compact car, very large cage. Good for travel in an SUV as base is very heavy and stable, don't pick up by the wires. fantastic doors/cage access better than most.
the deep base eliminates some mess if you feed on the floor. you and your birds will have to get used to a little more noise as the wires make noise - i think it has to do with how they are assembled to the base. very sturdy cage.
will work best with lots of cozy, custom perches...most hanging toys will only extend to the top half of the cage, so i recommend floor toys such as a basket with toys (don't put perches above so droppings won't get on floor toys). I have a basket in each of mine.
i have two. one for my parrotlet and one for my two budgies. they went right in and never came back out.

Excellent Cage!
Date: January 9, 2008
"I absolutely love this cage! It's wonderfully roomy and has a very attractive design. My two budgies have already moved in and taken advantage of all the space. I haven't seen them happier.
Perches have an uneven shape for working those little birdie feet.
One thing I wouldn't advise is trying to lift the cage from the handle on top. The base is much too heavy and falls off. Other than that, it's a great cage for a great price.

Very nice cage for cost
Date: January 2, 2008
"I bought this cage on clearence for $20, and it was one of the best purchases I could have gotten. It wasn't put together well in the store, so I took it apart and put it back together correctly and it was much sturdier. Still, if you lift it by the top handle it will come apart (the heavy base will fall off) so I used zip ties to make the base a little sturdier.
It's a very nice looking cage, the colors are neutral and it blends in with most decor unlike the bright white or black cages that stick out like a sore thumb. The size makes it good for a pair of budgies, a 'tiel or a lovebird, and possibly a smaller conure if it gets a lot of time out. One of the very nice things that suprised me about this cage was that the wooden dowels were actually warped and a little nobbly, which is much healthier for birds feet. Usually I throw out the cheap wooden perches that come with the cages because straight wooden dowels are bad for perching, but these were very well designed and my love birds love them. The height of the dome also allows for a lot of extra toy space.
The only two minor problems:
**Need to use zipties to make it more secure, as the bottom is so much heavier then the top it will come apart if you try to lift it by the handle
**The food dishes are a little low to the bottom of the floor for my preference.
All in all it's an excellent choice."
