My Husky Loves Her New Home!

"It took my husband less than an hour to put it together. Solid wood and looks really sturdy! Our husky went right in and slept for a couple of hours inside. She loves her new home and so do we!! Looks like the large is big enough for 2 huskies to fit inside."

"We bought this house in large for our Lab mix and it was so nice our dog went right in and seems very pleased! Not like some houses that they have to adjust to ,he seems right at home! My husband (who is not handy) said it was really easy to put together! We have now purchased the medium house for our other dog a pit husky mix and he is very excited about it!"

"I bought this for my dog about a year ago. It is still standing and he still loves it. He's in it for shade but especially when it rains. He has chewed on it a bit but it is still standing strong. I'm impressed-my dog usually destroys everything."

I beefed it up inside and looks good outside

"Easy to put together. I upgraded mine with some 3/8" in plywood inside and under the floor to make it double walled and insulated. Place plywood on the inside of the corner supports and you have about a 1/2" air gap. I also put down some heavy duty house carpeting wall to wall. I put extra screws and used glue to make it stronger. It looks great on the outside and is now a very strong built house. I also put a board across the bottom 6 inches of the door to make it smaller for the winter time and can put some extra bedding inside. Since mine are (2 that I attached together as a duplex) on a covered back porch moisture is not an issue just wind and cold. A person could easily attach a comp. roof material on it. So far me and the dogs are very happy. One chessie and a border mix. I purchased the mediums and they are plenty large for these girls at 50 and 60 lbs
even with the extra insulated walls. I wouldn't recommend them if you have a rough house type dog or you don't reinforce them. If you do they are great looking."

"As for putting together that is easy. as far as quality it belongs in the fire pit. the first little sprinkle we had the shingles on the roof buckled. i pulled them off and reset them this time nailing the sides only to have them buckle again the next rain...avoid this "house" at all cost"

"I have a really large german sheppard and this house is perfect for her. Room to spare. The off center door is a plus too. Makes me feel like she is better protected from the weather.
I would highly recommend this product. It is well made and easy to assemble. I'm a little woman and I did it alone in about half an hour.
The only drawback is the lack of a roof overhang to really keep the rain out. I solved the problem by attaching a sheet of metal roofing material to the top. Problem solved."

"I have a great dane/doberman puppy that weighs about 70 lbs and he is outside all the time and with him not having any meat on his bones I wanted to get him some shelter. So I purchased this dog house and he loves it. The wood could be a bit more stronger because my dog just ate the corners of it. Other than that it works great, it stays off of the ground so the floor of it doesn't rot from rain and mud. I would recomend this product to anyone, especially someone with a big dog that needs shelter."

"When I first got the house, I was very excited. The instructions were not very clear (just a diagram on the box), but overall it was easy to put together. Also, it looked great in the back yard. It took two days for the dogs to get used to it (we have a doberman and a mixed breed dog) and it seemed like it was a good thing. On day three, they began rough housing inside and knocked the roof off. When I went to put the roof back on, I noticed that they had chewed the insides of it. By the 6th day, all the trim was gone from the sides and two boards have been knocked out of the side of the house. I finally nailed the roof on, but the dobie was able to get on top of it and pull the shingles off. Needless to say, I was very disappointed in the quality of this house. If you have little dogs with no inclination to chew or play, it may work. But, its flimsy boardss don't stand a chance against two normal dogs."

"I was very pleased with the product. While it is somewhat thin, it is not as bad as some reviews made it out to be. The assembly was easy (8 bolts and 12 screws). The entire thing was assembled in less than a half hour. We made add additional insulation for winter, but think it is a great deal for the price."

"My husband and I just finished assembling the house. It took the two of us about 30 min. and it looks great! The walls and floor aren't super thick, but it is very attractive and the perfect size for our dog. I am going to try and find a plastic swing door to cover the opening and help keep Ginger warm, but I think it will serve our needs well. Ginger seems to love it!
Oh, we added some shingles to the roof for added weather-proofing during our wet northern Calif. winters."

"This doghouse looks awesome but the wood is lightweight and very weak. I gave this product five paws for pet satisfaction because my boxer had tons of fun chewing this house down to a bunch of toothpicks. This would make a great house for smaller dogs, but it would be in your favor to choose another option if you have a bigger dog with strong jaws who likes to chew."

"When we got our new puppy I searched everywhere for a quality dog house that would look good next to our log home. When I found the Outback Log Cabin house, I just knew I had to have it! PETCO was by far the cheapest place to order it online, and it arrived at my house in just 3 days. My husband put it together in no time, without even using the included instructions.
