Automatic fun for the kitties

"Okay, this is a very very cool toy for the kitties. Both my younger and my older senior kitties love this. It has a lot of fun upsides, the best being that you can plug it in and not have to rely on batteries like most other cat toys (which is a major plus for this product). You can also set it to go on at regular intervals to keep the cats busy for hours (keep in mind that it does chirp and beep to attract the kitties, so I wouldn't recommend keeping this in an area of the house where you don't want to be distured - I keep it in the guest bedroom). One of my cats has even figured out how to turn it on with the button, which is funny to watch. Unfortunately he has also figured out how to reset the auto-on feature, or change it to run continuously - but this is only occasionally, so it's only a slight annoyance once in a while to reset the toy. The reason I take away a star is, as others have mentioned, the motor does become very loud after about a month of use. That, and my little Siamese who has very small paws has managed to remove the mouse from time to time (and run off with it - sometimes causing the toy to run continuously with no mouse on the track). Also, the ears do come off after a while when kitties try to catch the mouse (but you can buy replacement mice from the company). One of these units did malfunction on me, but after exchanging it, I've had no issues. Overall, even with the kinks, it's worth it to have this toy, and my kitties would be disappointed without it (they look forward to the chirping to hunt the mouse LOL)!"

"I have two 5 month old kittens who absolutely love this little gadget, however after only two short days the mouse would no longer stay on the track. There's a door you can open in the back to re-attach the mouse, however having to do this 4x a day isn't convenient. The motor is loud, the electronics get messed up and you have to switch the unit off and on to get it to work. Needs improvement and price is too high. Customer Service is excellent and very helpful."

motor became really loud

"I bought this toy earlier in the month for my indoor-only cat. My cat loved playing with it the first week, although she never went crazy with it like other cats did as seen on the web videos. Two weeks later, the motor got extremely loud and high pitched whenever the mouse would make its run on the track. I checked the mouse and the track and found nothing abnormal or broken. The motor noise has gotten so bad now, my cat refuses to go near the toy when it is on.
Unless your cat is immune to loud noises, I cannot recommend this toy to fellow cat lovers unless the company comes out with a better, less noisy and more durable motor (especially at this purchase price)."

"My bengal loves this toy. I looked at it for months, read the reviews, but could not decide if I truly wanted to spend the money on it. I finally broke down and bought it for his xmas present. HE LOVES IT! I highly recommend it and while it can be a bit loud for us humans, it was truly work the money."

What a great toy!

"This toy has something that no other automatic toy has: (1) It doesn't require batteries (2) It has a timer which automatically turns on and off. My kitties love it. They will wait for the little mouse to come out, and sometimes they will grab on the mouse and won't let go! The toy is durable, even if my cats pull, bite and even stop the mouse from moving forward. It continues to run fine. There were a few times I found the mouse came off, but it was easily put back in place. The only thing I wish to see is the mouse goes around a few more times when it is turned on. Currently, it only goes around twice and the kitties will have to wait for the next turn. If I set the timer to 5 mins or longer, the kitties some time lose patience and they won't wait. I ended up setting the timer to 1 or 2 mins. I think the best way is to either allow us to set the number of rounds the mouse will go each time or at least let the mouse go around 4-5 times. Other than that I will say the toy is perfect. If they can make one with two mice or make the path even longer or muti-level, that will be totally awesome! Another thing will be nice to have is to give the option to use batteries in case if the kitty likes to chew on wires. I think this toy is one of the best in the market. It is a bit pricey, but I think our kitties are totally worth it."

"I was a little nervous spending over $50 on a cat toy knowing that finicky cats ignore half of the toys you bring home. I was pleased to see that my cats enjoyed it and they were engaged in play. I like the timer option so I can set it to go off while I am gone to work. They spend less time attacking flowers in the house and get some good exercise in my absence."

"I think it was a nice idea. I' m always looking for a nice toy that they're not going to lose interest after 2 minutes. The timer didn't work well and the mouse got stuck after a few minutes of play. I think it needed to be a little more sturdier for the boisterous, playful cats."

"When it comes to toys, my kitty is one hard to please feline, but she absolutely loves this one! I think the funniest thing my kitty has ever done is grabbing the mouse with her claws and literally "calling" me over to help her keep it from going back into hiding. Absolutely hilarious!"

"This is a great toy! One of my cats sits in front of it just waiting for the next time the mouse will come out. My other cats come running when they hear the "mouse noises" that sound right before the mouse comes out. It's nice to be able to set the timer on it to keep the cats occupied when I'm busy...or it also has a big red button on the "house floor" that I (or a cat) can press to turn it on if we don't want to use the timer. (My cats have hit the button a few times and turned it on themselves by accident while pawing at the door where the mouse comes out.) . The stove has a little light that lights up right before the mouse comes out that helps attract the cats to it when we use it at night. I especially like that I can plug it into an electric outlet if I don't want to replace batteries. The toy is very sturdy and well made."
