"Our ferret is very old, not sure how old, but was old when we got him to begin with. He was mostly bald and losing energy, we switched his food and it's like a whole new ferret in a couple of weeks."

Great Food

"We are a former rescue and have fed everything from premium kitten food to totally natural diet, nothing has impressed us so much as this food does. We picked it up because the oldest of our 4 has just turned 5 and we wanted to lower the protein in her diet to make it easier on her little kidneys. All of our ferrets ranging from 5 to 2 love it, their fur has never been shinier and they are all acting like kits again. They don't eat nearly as much of this food as they did others and the thin ones have put on weight and our one slightly fat ferret has lost some of the fat. This food is well worth the price. For a real treat try adding a bit of ferret supplement and olive oil when you feed them."

"My ferret is six seven years old and refused to eat certain other ferret foods. So, we ask the poeple at PetCo what they would recommend and they recommended Totally Ferret for Older Ferrets.He loves and now refuses to eat anything but it. He has gained a little weight and is more active now. I would recommend this food for ferrets over five years of age.He reminds me of when we first bought him. He is vibrant and more alert. He has even started letting my five year play with him."

Great for ferrets 3 years and older

"High protein for older ferrets (according to my vet anyways) is rough on little ferret kidneys. After I recently lost a baby to renal failure, I decided to switch the rest of my ferrets over to a lower protein diet appropriate for their age. I have always favored this product because unlike Marshall Farms, the company is not affiliated with selling ferrets for animal research. The older diet formula (Totally Ferret) is high quality with little to no mystery ingredients and gives my babies great silky coats. Also, this food keeps litter box odor down. Five Stars!"
