Tough Toy Not Tough Enough

I do believe Kong toys are a great product to keep dogs busy or to assist with kennel training. Despite the super tough status, Kongs are no match for my 92lb goldendoodle, Big Fat Ted. Unfortunately the product was not worth the $13 I paid. It lasted all of one evening.

These rubber Kong toys seem to be the only thing that hold up to my dogs. They love to play with them and they don't destroy them. The black extreme are the toughest. Great way to entertain the dog. Hide a treat inside and it keeps them occupied to quite some time.

I bought these for each of my two dogs (a pointer and a Aussie shepherd mix). The top of the toy came off on both of the Kongs after only two times trying to get the treat out. I monitor my dogs during these activities, so they were not just chewing away at them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the Extreme Kong. My dogs love it too. My 1yr old Pit Bull loves it. He throws it in the air and chases it. It is the cutest thing ever. I just wish there were more flavors of the Kong Stuff'n.

Pass on the small size as it gets destroyed fast. The med is good for any dog above 15 lbs and it lasts. All three dogs love they way they bounce and how easy they can grab and chew.

I have 2 labs and almost every toy they get their paws on is destroyed within a hour. The extreme Kong is one of two toys I get them due to its durability! I stuff it with either a Natural Biscuit or a little crunchy peanut butter and watch them go for hours! I would highly recommend this product for aggressive chewers ~ like labradors!

My pup's favorite toy. Takes a large biscuit. Takes his toughest chewing. He loves to toss it around and chase it bouncing irregularly around. Doesn't mark floors. (Caution: putting peanut butter inside results in oily drool on the floor that will stain carpet or decking wood.)
This Kong is TOUGH. Well worth the extra few bucks if you have a hard chewer.

My 90 lb lab chews through most toys in 5 minutes. The regular Kong lasts about a day. This extreme Kong is the only toy that will last for 2 or 3 months before he starts to shred the top. If only it were totally indestructable!

My Labrador usually shreds his chew toys after only a couple of days. The KONG toy actually survived a good several months before he finally got pieces broken off! Very good choice if you have a big chewer on your hands.

I bought a kong for my Poodle Puppy who likes to chew everything up about 6 months ago and she still has it. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a dog or a puppy. This product is very sturdy and indestructible.

These kongs are great! My 70 lb lab loves hers. We put treats wrapped in a slice of bread in there, medium sized dog biscuits, etc. and let her go... some treats take her longer than others to get out of there but they keep her entertained and these things last a loooong time! Highly recommended product. She's 14 and we're going on only our 4th kong over that length of time.

My pit mix is an extremely tough chewer and usually destroys a new toy with in a day. The Kong lasted several months until he Finally finished it off last month. Will definitely be buying a new one because we have gone through five toys in the past month that claim to be for though chewers.

Great toy, I have bought several of these. I put a rope on it then I can throw it very far (70 meter +). I can also play pulling games with my German Shepherd. He can play with his Kong the whole day if I let him. Every dog should have this toy!

I have 2 rottweillers and this toy has lasted 8 months! This has definitely been the most successful toy we have came across. They just turned 1 in June, so they are still teething a bit and LOVE to chew. But the toy is great for fetch, stimulation, and chewing. It's not ment for JUST chewing, the constant chewing does wear down the product, but if used correctly it will last some powerful jaws.

My pitbbull puppy likes this toy, but only when I put the right treats in it. She didn't care for the Kong Stuff'N Paste, but she did like Skippy peanut butter. And she loved Philadelphia low fat cream cheese inside this toy.

Finally a toy that my 86lb pit bull has not immediately distroyed!! Not that he couldn't though. Chewing on rubber tires is one of his favorite pasttimes but I think he figured out if the toy is gone, the treats are gone, lol! Good job outsmarting my boy! Thanks Kong!

My puppy pit ripped up 2 extreme XXL Kongs in 1 month... He is only 1 year old and I am so disappointed that for the cost you wouldn't think 2 weeks a then its trash... WHY??? He is sad because he loved it and it was his favorite toy but due to the poor durability he is with out..(((((

My Staffie tears his toys to shreds; it's really a passion of his. After he tore up everything else I got him within minutes (save for the elk bones), I tried this thing out.
I usually push a few of the treats inside, with one sticking out of the bottom end. This keeps him busy for a good half hour and seems to tire him out (also works great on long drives). They also make a solid rubber ball that's good.
