"My dog loves these, but then he has hardly met a treat he doesn't like. I cannot vouch for the calming effects, but he does seem to pay attention and listen pretty well when using these treats for training. I also agree with many of the other reviewers that the treat size is a bit big for training. I usually cut each bit into 2 or 4 pieces for training or leave it whole for use as a regular treat."

"Both my dogs love these. I break each one into four or more smaller pieces--allows me to stretch them out a bit. They are pretty easy to break up but don't crumble to bits. I can't tell for sure whether the calming properties are for real, but they are definitely excellent, high-value training treats."

"I found these treats to be much too large and too hard to use for training. I ended up cutting them in quarters for my min Schnauzer puppy. Yes, he is a small breed, but I think these would be too large for any puppy. They were also too hard and took a lot of time to consume, thus losing focus."

"My dog just love these treats. I used them when we were in doggie school. Always wanting more and help my dog relax to do the commands while having many other distractions around her.
Plus they are wholesome with no preservatives, no soy, no corn or wheat!
Hopefully they will get some more of these soon...cuz they are out of stock at Petco! whah!"

Best Training Treat Ever!

"These are by far the best training treats I have found! I have a 4 yr. old OES who hates the brush and the grooming table. The vet had given me sedatives for her so that grooming wouldn't be a fight. I didn't like giving her the meds. Just a few Sniffers 101 and now I can brush her, and she doesn't fight as much when I have her on the grooming table. This has made our relationship so much better! Mommy is no longer the villain!"

"I own and train Border Collies, and i must say, these are the best treats for a high energy dog! 101 allows my dogs to give me their complete attention, and mellows them out just enough!. "As soon as I read the label for Sniffers 101 I just had to give them a try - and I am so glad that I did. My dog is a resuce dog who had some manners and skills to learn; our first few attempts at formal training classes left me wondering how this was ever going to work. I found Sniffers 101 while stocking up on training treats. I give Abbie the recommended amount for her weight before we train/walk and what a HUGE difference they have made - she is focused and calm. Almost too good...

"I can't believe these treats! I have been showing dogs for 16 years, and the 2 year old female that I have, who is beautiful, is afraid to death of people and anything new. I was seriously considering not showing her b/c of this. I decided that we needed some extra help so I took her to a class; the first night was a disaster!
Then I found these treats at Petco I figured I had nothing to lose. By the third night not only was she not terrified, she almost had her tail up! WOW!!! The sniffers really let her relax and not be so stressed.
Also I would have put them down in a second and not even considered them if they contained corn as most things do. Corn can be hard on dog's stomachs and Bichon's seem to have a particularly hard time with it causing allergy problems.
The ingredients of the Sniffer's are as great as the effect. Not to mention she loves them! I break them in 1/2 or 1/4 b/c we tend to have a rather long training session. Also an added bonus for me is that I am a vegetarian so I don't like handling all those gross things that the dogs like. These are neat; they break easily and can be consumed quickly. (No one wants their dog going to town for an hour on a treat in front of the judge)

Perfect Training Treat!

"Our 4 month old puppy Lucy LOVES these treats! They are the only ones she reponds to when we take a walk and need to get her attention. She's a small (8 pound) chiweenie so we break each treat into quarters. 2 or 3 treats will last for a whole half hour walk. So far we've taught her to stop, sit, stay, and roll over using this treat. Nothing with wheat in it will sustain her attention."

"Our six-month-old puppy just loves these treats. They smell good, they're small enough that I can give her a bunch of them if training takes awhile, and they don't stain fabrics, couches, etc. like some of the "meatier" treats. When I open the bag, she runs right over!"

"My beagle is ADD when it comes time for training, and unless I have something really great to peak her interest, practice just isn't going to happen. I used to have to switch between 4-5 different treats to keep her interested, but with these, she can't seem to get enough! She will do anything for these treats, and as long as she knows I have one for her, her attention is 100% on me, it's great! I also love that they are healthy and calming.. I never thought I'd be able to notice a difference, but after a few, she's definitely calmer!"

What a Tasty Taming Treat!

"I had no idea that there was a product that actually would calm a puppy in a matter of minutes! I was hesitant to try it but these tricky treats keeps my Pomeranian asking for more. I don't know if he is hip to my trick that after I give him only 4 or 5 kibbles he is ready for a nap but it works great to calm him down before I leave the house or getting ready for bed while he thinks its time to play! I highly recommend this product for people who want some quiet time!"

"these treats are great for training! They are tasteful, and quick for the dog to eat. Small treats like this help the dog to know what he gets treated for (ex. if you are teaching the dog to sit and you say "sit" then if you give this big dog biscuit then when he is finally done eating it he wont even remember what he god treated for!) These treats are also great for shows."
