Good Tank
Date: March 20, 2006
"These tanks are good for bettas, Just keep it away from any cold vents. Bettas like warm water appx 75-86F. My bettas seem to do better in tanks 1/2 gallon to a gallon. I did stick them into larger tanks in the past but for some reason they get scared and dont like it. I know that bigger is better sometimes but in my case it was not. These are fish that are breed in small ponds and rice patties. But anything smaller then this is NOT OK for them. Smaller tanks sometimes mean more cleaning the water thou, but if your willing for commit to this type of tank without filtration it will be ok. Just becareful with them because they can become stressed from the water changes. Bettas originate in the shallow waters in Thailand (formerly called Siam, hence their name sianese fighting fish), Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and parts of China. They proliferate rice paddies, shallow ponds, and even slow moving streams."

Works better for brine shrimp
Date: October 10, 2009
"A few years back when I bought a male betta I got this kit for free. I was putting him in my community tank and didn't need this but I also didn't want o waste it so I put it away.
When I decided to feed my fish live brine shrimp (sea monkeys) I dug this out of my closet. This works great and looks better than what you are sold as shrimp hatcheries. I did replace the gravel that came with the kit with black gravel so I could see the shrimp better but the plant looks decorative.
I like this because my shrimp tank looks better than a large soda bottle I almost tried."

Too small
Date: August 24, 2009
"For the first couple of days I loved this tank, my betta still loves it and loves the plant that comes with it. It would be great as a temporary home. The big problem is it's too small. The ammonia levels get to high because the tank is too small. If I kept my betta in this I would constantly have to change the water just to keep him alive. Instead I moved him into a 2.5 gallon tank with a filter, he is so healthier and happier now."

NICE TANK!!!
Date: July 23, 2009
"I have had this tank for about a month now and my betta Peach loves it. When ever I feed her she rushes to the top of tank and snaps happily. But it only comes with one plant and bettas love to have some where to hide if they want to so I had to add a cave. The cave is large but it fits. This tank fits perfectly into my room."
