Good Tank
Date: March 20, 2006
"These tanks are good for bettas, Just keep it away from any cold vents. Bettas like warm water appx 75-86F. My bettas seem to do better in tanks 1/2 gallon to a gallon. I did stick them into larger tanks in the past but for some reason they get scared and dont like it. I know that bigger is better sometimes but in my case it was not. These are fish that are breed in small ponds and rice patties. But anything smaller then this is NOT OK for them. Smaller tanks sometimes mean more cleaning the water thou, but if your willing for commit to this type of tank without filtration it will be ok. Just becareful with them because they can become stressed from the water changes. Bettas originate in the shallow waters in Thailand (formerly called Siam, hence their name sianese fighting fish), Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and parts of China. They proliferate rice paddies, shallow ponds, and even slow moving streams."

Works better for brine shrimp
Date: October 10, 2009
"A few years back when I bought a male betta I got this kit for free. I was putting him in my community tank and didn't need this but I also didn't want o waste it so I put it away.
When I decided to feed my fish live brine shrimp (sea monkeys) I dug this out of my closet. This works great and looks better than what you are sold as shrimp hatcheries. I did replace the gravel that came with the kit with black gravel so I could see the shrimp better but the plant looks decorative.
I like this because my shrimp tank looks better than a large soda bottle I almost tried."

Too small
Date: August 24, 2009
"For the first couple of days I loved this tank, my betta still loves it and loves the plant that comes with it. It would be great as a temporary home. The big problem is it's too small. The ammonia levels get to high because the tank is too small. If I kept my betta in this I would constantly have to change the water just to keep him alive. Instead I moved him into a 2.5 gallon tank with a filter, he is so healthier and happier now."

NICE TANK!!!
Date: July 23, 2009
"I have had this tank for about a month now and my betta Peach loves it. When ever I feed her she rushes to the top of tank and snaps happily. But it only comes with one plant and bettas love to have some where to hide if they want to so I had to add a cave. The cave is large but it fits. This tank fits perfectly into my room."

Loved it!!!
Date: May 11, 2009
"My betta fish(Fai) loves this tank! I love this tank also. It has a good quality, and appearance. However, I do not think Fai likes the food too well. He doesn't seem to be eating it.

Good Betta kit
Date: May 1, 2009
"I got this starter tank when i bought my first male betta fish (Sapphire). this kit is good since it does come with everything you need to start off with. my betta seems to like it a lot, hes happy and is always playing with the plant that comes with this kit, and the food is great for him as well, and the water conditioner helps a lot too. its good kit overall but i recommend a 3gal tank for a betta since they live better in a bigger tank.."

Ehh
Date: April 29, 2009
"Im so so about this product.
I love that it comes with the starter kit, i think its perfect but
after i purchased it and brought it home,
i noticed there was a scratch on the bottom of it, although it didnt look like a crack.
I placed the rocks in the tank and once i started filling it up with water i noticed it leaking from the bottom. The what i thought of as a scratch was actually a crack and it had became bigger
kinddaa disapointing
i crazyed glue the tank back
and its been pretty good

ok
Date: April 28, 2009
"i bought this tank after seeing so many good reviews about it. i guess it's ok if your moving and you need an easy way to transport your fish. my male betta doesn't seem very comfertable. he absolutly HATED the plant it came with. i bought a softer one instead and he loves it. it could use a few improvements but overall its a pretty good tank!"

Awesome tank
Date: March 22, 2009
"I recently bought this for my male betta (Cho Cho). He loves it, but he does not have alot of room to swim in. But it comes with the conditioner and food which is nice. It is also really hard to change the water, take the gravel out, and (the hardest one) trying the get my fish out since there's not alot of room for my fish net to go. But I would still recommend this to any of my friends that are first time owners of betta fish."

not too shabby!
Date: January 18, 2009
"I just purchased this tank and a betta for it today. I livened the gravel up a little with some multicolored marbles. It comes with everything you need so it's very convenient. I put my fish in it about an hour ago and he seemed quite thrilled. He keeps playing around in the plant. He seems to enjoy it."

"This was a realy good tank. I bought it for my first betta and he thrived!! The only problem was that with the plant, Topsy (my old male betta) did not have a lot of room to swim. But I would recomend it to a friend."

Great home!
Date: August 23, 2008
"I had 2 betas before, one red, and one blue, and they loved this home! They spent a lot of time around the plants, so try to get at least 2 plants. This is the perfect size for them. Betas breath air, so don't make the water all the way up to the top. Leave at least a dimes height of air. This is great because it has nice air holes, and is easy to open! I highly recommend this!"

VERY good beginner tank
Date: July 29, 2008
"this was my first tank and i currently keep my betta, chico, in it. i love this tank. the colors really compliment chico's colors [opaque white and purple/blue]. it came with everything i needed: food, water conditioner, gravel, plant, and of course, the tank! the only thing i needed to do was add the water and the betta.
eventually though, the plastic plant seemed to rip his fins a bit so i replaced it with a silk plant instead.
and i also bought wardley betta food to change up his diet once in a while.
i heard somewhere that bettas don't really like flakes but my bettas seem to like them so thats good. :D"

Great Betta Tank
Date: June 25, 2008
"This is a gret betta tank. I have had 5 betta fish in my whole life at different times. And I used this tank for all of them. This is a really sturdy tank for your betta. It is big enough for your betta fish to swim around in.I thin kthis is a great starter kit. I definitely recommend this betta tank!
:-)
