"at one time i had 2 betta's and they loved this tank, they could swim without getting in each other's way. sadly they passed away not to long ago. i kept it thou, and just recently i aquired 3 dwarf hamsters, well, they were not getting along with one of them, so, just as a temp setup, i put Snow White in this tank. it is perfect, she has enough room to move around and such. LOL, it looks good too. so, this tank, to me is very handy, and versitile"

"this tank is wonderful. i have five female guppies and two of them are pregnant. the divider is great because the babys are on 1 side so the moms cant eat them. the light keeps the water warm. somtimes i keep it on all night. it's big enough for G, blue, ruby red, butterfly, and emrel, but they seem a little squished in one side. they fit fine in the whole tank though. i just dont want my 24 babys eaten. the filter is quiet, but somtimes the air tube vibrates against the base and gets a little anoying. the look is great and the fish know when its time to eat because they see the the feeding slot go up. i need a bigger tank because im going to have 40 or so baby in the little tank but its a great beginers tank. also very easy to clean, only i recomend keeping the tank on the fist floor. the only big dissapontment was the the divider. when i first tried to fit it in the two tabs got in the way. my dad had to cut 1 off so it would fit in the tank. it might be the rocks though. t recomend this tank to a friend anytime! :)"

"i bought this for my first betta fish, Lulla Belle. He pretty much loves to swim around since he has the whole thing to himself. Plus I think the really big filter has an advantage, because Lulla Belle likes to hide under it. Plus the filter is super quiet. Easy to assemble. A++"

tank cracks and leaks

"I have had three of these and each one of these had the tank portion has sprung a big long crack and leaked all over the table making it necessary to throw the tank portion out.I bought the first one second hand so I thought the problem is the person who had it before me might have dropped it. Whoever I bought two others of them brand new and both of the tanks cracked and leaked all over the table I had them on. The rest of the tank- filter and light etc. worked well but with out a tank portion I had to throw them away."

"I did a lot of research before purchasing an aquarium for my betta named Lux. I finally decided on the Mini Bow 2.5 gallon because of its amazing reviews on this website. After purchasing, assembling, and using this tank for a month, I can honestly say that it lives up to all of the excellent reviews. The filter does a great job keeping the tank clean without pushing my betta around. The light keeps the water warm, but does not get too hot (even after being on for 16 hours). I love the look of this tank too. It comes in fun colors (love the Neptune blue), it is durable, and it looks high quality. I have not had a single problem with this tank and I am even going to buy my younger sister the same tank for Christmas! I know my betta Lux loves his new home and your fish will too! : )"

"This tank is great. I have six green tiger barbs and a Pleco named Frankie Jo and they love it! I think that there is absolutely nothing wrong with this tank except for that the filter is kinda big. But if you can get small enough tank decorations and some tall plants to hide it, it works out great! It's also really quiet."

"After reading countless positive reviews, I decided that I would give this tank a try since I'm a beginner beta fish owner. Although nothing was missing, the quality of the tank is not satisfactory. Everything is very, very cheaply made. The plastic base is flimsy and the cover fits loosely. Perhaps the most disapointing is when I attempted to insert the divider (a CLOSE FIT) and scratched a noticeable line down the front and back of the tank!! If you're looking for more durability, look elsewhere.

"This aquarium is great! I had just got this tank. I have a Panda Oranda that is very small. When it says its a starter kit it does not come with gravel or plants. But it does come with a light & a light hood, a betta divder, and sample food and cleaner. Overall this aquarium is great but the hood is not securly fastened to the top. But I would most definitly recommend this to a friend."

"This tank is awesome! I read the reviews for the tank before I bought it and there were some people who said it was too small, the filter didn’t work, or the bulb melted the plastic. But none of that happened to me. I frigging love this tank! This is my second betta. The first go around I had him in a goldfish bowl, needless to say he didn’t last very long (R.I.P. Blu). So this time I did research and I have to say Joey loves this tank! He swims around in it all day, playing in the castle that I got for him. It’s plenty of room for him and some fake algae. And the filter isn’t loud at all. Well… it is if you have it on all the way. I put mine on the lowest level and Joey doesn’t even notice it. Well… he does play in it sometimes though. And the light is great for keeping the water warm. It doesn’t get incredibly hot but it is pretty warm and I think Joey likes it. The only bad thing about this tank is if you want your betta to have friends. I wanted Joey to have a friend or two but the pet store guy told me my tank was too small for Joey to have friends. So if you’re considering this tank make sure you at least get the 2.5 gallon. I couldn’t imagine what the 1 gallon looks like and if you want your betta to have some friends upgrade to the 5 gallon."

"I bought this system about a month ago for my office when I unexpectedly was offered a betta or two to adopt. I noticed two things right away: First, the base is kind of flimsy, which made me wonder whether it would be sturdy enough to support the tank once filled. Second, the divider wall the kit comes with is hard to install...it is rectangular whereas the tank has a bowed front, so be careful to avoid scratching the acrylic. Also, it's good that the divider is slotted for water flow, but unfortunate that it is not more opaque, as some male bettas can be way overstimulated if they never get a reprieve from one another. I ended up not using the divider at all and only adopted one betta. He seems to like having the extra room to swim around in. It also helps the betta to turn the flow regulator on the filter down so the current is not too strong. Since getting the tank set up, the base seems to be doing well, despite initial concern. However, the hood does not fit on the top very well because the filter keeps it cocked on one side, and no amount of fiddling has fixed that. It's not very noticeable though. The filter is very quiet! Reducing the flow seems to have helped in that regard as well. It shows a little more than I would like, but is easily hidden by plants/decor, and I get tons of compliments on the beautiful blue color of the tank and how it complements the teal/red bicolor betta I have in it! It's also easy to maintain, so I wouldn't hesitate recommending it as a beginner tank."

great way to spoil your betta

"I recently purchased this tank in teal as an upgrade for my betta (he was previously in a 1 gallon tank). He absolutely loves his new home and is swimming around happily! You can put more plants and decor in this tank
to really make it stand out. It's easy to clean and easy to set up. It comes with a lightbulb, filter (which I don't use for such a small tank), and other goodies. This tank has a feeding door that is easy to open and close too. I have 3 other bettas that I plan on upgrading to this type of tank in the future. I highly recommend it."

What an Amazing Buy!

"I got this yesterday at my local Petco and am in love with it! As I'm writing this review I'm floating my betta, Prince, in it! I love the filter and I really think Prince will love the space! I guess you could keep two bettas in this tank, but I would recommend keeping one because it's not really spacious enough, in my opinion, to house two bettas. I might buy a Red Sea Deco Art Nano Filter to have as a back-up if this filter doesn't do it's job, but another thing I like about this tank is that the light keeps the water nice and warm, so I don't even need a heater! I got Neptune Blue and I really think it's a majestic color that goes well with my room. I definately think if you are a betta owner and want to spoil your betta rotten this is the tank for you!"

"I have had Betta's for over 2 years now, we have had a total of 4, we originally had them in the Hex betta keeper, boy, what a mess, the lid never fit right, it had to be cleaned several times a week, due to build up of hard water, the bettas we always glommy and did not move much, they seemed very sad :( Finally after looking, we found the All-Glass Mini Bow, WOW ^_^, i was so impressed, the space, the amount of water it can hold is great, we have 2 male bettas, and since we put them in there over 2 weeks ago, they are more vibriant, more playful, they eat more, and they love the light in the hood, it glows at night and makes them feel safe.
The filter is very very quite and offers a wonderful hiding place for "violet" he loves to hid under it and behind it, we put real plants in there to give them a better sense of color, they love this new home we bought for them. The divider works perfect, they love to look at each other, and they are closer than before. They push the divider back and forth sometimes, they seem very very happy. Now, i do not need to change the water 3 times a week, i now have a designated day for pet cleaning day, we have a RES and a 10 g tank with 4 goldfish and 3 african frogs, and all i do is go around and clean every one with the self starter sihpon to clean the tanks. This tank is wonderful, i am glad to see my bettas doing very well. Now, everyone is happy. They each have a filter, proper lighting, and wonderful decor to play in and around."

"this aquarium is so perfect I don't know where to begin! it's extremely spacious for one male betta. I got the punky purple and it is gorgeous. My fish is cream colored and I bought a punky purple minibow, black gravel and a dark colored ornament and it makes him look absolutely stunning! The only flaw is that the filter is gigantic and it is a big strong. However it does have a switch to set it at different strengths and it is good for betta's on the lowest or next to lowest level. And unlike some say, the divider fits in very well, however I don't use it as I only have one fish. It is overall beautiful and effective and perfect for a betta fish."

"I'm not sure, if I got a bad tank or what, but I don't have a betta divider. I went back to the store and we (the fish person and I) opened ALL the mini bow and none of them came with a betta divider. BUT other than that little annoyance, this is a good tank. I currently have 6 live plant, a snail, and three dwarf frogs along with my betta (Fred) and his little house."

An adorable little tank

"I own two of these tanks (one in red and one in blue) and I really like them. There's a few things though... Even though I currently have two bettas in one (with divider), they really need more room then that. Each betta especially an adult should have a 2.5 to themselves. Also this little tank needs a heater (if used for bettas and other tropical fish) to keep the temp up because the light alone will not do it. I use the Hydor mini water heater (I don't know if Petco carries them online but they do in the stores) and it keeps my water depending on the room, between 75 and 80 degrees.
The filter is also loud if the water line drops below the spout so you must always have the water filled.
Besides that, cleaning is very easy, the look is wonderful, it doesn't scratch easily and I can leave the light on all day long and turn it off at night. My fish are very happy and healthy in this little tank! My little brother adores his tank with his betta! Again, just try not to keep more then one betta in this tank!"
