"I have used these with my Chesapeake Bay retrievers for years, and they are terrific. They are NOT tug toys, however. You'll be disappointed if you try and use them that way. But if you use them as exercise/retrieval devices, they are easily seen, relatively light to carry and make even the largest dogs look unintimidating to other people. I buy them by the pair, because they often end up high in the trees when I make errant throws."

"These are the best toys ever. My dogs are crazy about them and I use them all the time for training. I've taken them to the beach, used them in the pool and in tracking fields from San Diego to Sacramento. just one of my dogs has earned 7 tracking titles all in the hopes af getting to play with one of these at the end:) I do not leave my dogs unatended with them as they will of course chew thru the cord if left un supervised but if used like a interactive training toy these hold up very well and build drive for my sport dogs. They also fit into my training vest pockets far better than traditional kong shaped toys. I highly recommend them. Many people in my area are using them now as they have seen how my Rottweilers are crazy about them.
My only complaint is that the medium sized ones are getting more and more difficult to find so I'm stocking up."

"This toy is not meant for tugging or chewing - it is a fetch toy. My Chocolate Lab absolutely loves it. I can throw it far because of the string, and the string has not yet popped off. It also works well in the water, since it can float."

Weak!!

"I bought this thinking since it was Kong that it would be extremely durable, however i was completely wrong. I had just brought it home and after about five minutes maybe less of playing fetch/tug with my 3 year old American Pitbull Terrier the end i was holding on to completely separated from the bottom half that Tyson was pulling on and we both pretty much went flying, very dissatisfied with this product and wouldn't recommend it to anyone!"

"overall it was a pretty good toy....took my family's 3 pit bulls 3 days of heavy play in the water on Cape Cod to bust through it. definently not a tug toy, the rope would have popped off and the tennis ball material would have ripped very quickly. i imagine this would be a wonderful toy for dogs that didnt have such strong jaws...i guess i will just get the floating kong w/ rope next time."

Not for a strong chewer

"I have an American Pit Bull terrier, we were able to have about 3, five minute play sessions with this toy before the rope tore out along with the top half of the entire stick. He loved playing with it, and got very excited when i took it out, but it is not a good choice for any dog that is strong, better for small dogs, and yes i bought the largest size and it still broke, hope this helps!"

Great toy for Lab

"I have a lab that loves this toy. We live on a lake and she loves fetching this from the water. It is now on its last legs with holes patched by duck tape. She uses this daily and it holds up much better than the other "bumpers" used to train retrievers. We just have to make sure we get it back from her after playing so she doesn't chew on it."

My Mastiff absolutely loves this thing

"She tears them apart she plays with them so much, absolutely a great toy for any dog that likes to fetch. I wish they made it with a tougher rope portion as that wore away within a few days of chewing, the toy itself got torn apart over a few months time. Still, totally worth it, perfect toy for my big dog."

"I am sad to say that my yorkie did not agree with the air kong stick. She didn't look at the toy nor did she shew or acknoledge the toy. I tell you that although the regular kongs are good(my yorkie likes it) the air kong stick is nothing to be proud for. I think that this toy would not agree with your dog either!"
