"I think that this track is to small and it is only like 2 by 4 feet. It is $20.00 which is a waste and it would be better just to let your animal run around a room in their ball."

"My two gerbils love playing with this Hamtrac every day and would run around and around and I felt so much more relaxed not having to watch them nonstop.
The only thing I would change is the balls that came with it. The breathing holes were wide enough to let..feces fall out all over."

"I bought this product so my 2 fancy hamsters could train for the hamster ball derby. It was awesome! The only problem was that my super adventureous Indiana Jones, didn't like the limited amount of places to go. But I fixed that problem easily by making 'tunnels' and things out of chair legs to keep him entertained. My other hamster, Rascal, loves it to this day. Very durable and great quality."

"I bought this track for my hamster Licorice because I wanted her to train for the Hamster Ball Derby. When I put her in the track she just runs round, round, and round! What's amazing is that ever since I put her in the Hamstrac she runs in her wheel more!!! Let me tell you something, she never used that wheel in like 4 months!! So three cheers for the Hamtrac!!!"

"I have a Long-haired Teddy Bear Hamster, that I got from PETCO, named Spunky, and one day I decided to enter him into the Hamster Ball Durby at PETCO, unfortunitly, he lost, so i bought a "Super Pet Hamtrac for Small Animals" that way Spunky could practice for next years Hamster Ball Durby. When i got home i set it up and let Spunky run around on it inside a hamster exercise ball. HE LOVED IT!! I loved it too, because not only was my hamster having fun,but it also benefited on his health. The best part is that instead of having my hamster run around in a room where I could not always see him,and where he could get hurt, he was in a safe place where I could always keep an eye on him at all times, and where he gets laps and laps of exercise on a race track to help him get ready for next years Hamster Ball Durby!"

"My champion Roborovski Hamster, Gizmo, has won 1st place the last 2 Hamster Derby events at Petco in Stockton, CA. last year. He's won this product and he LOVES it... so does my other 10 Roborovskis and my Syrian hamster. I would recommend this product for people who have trouble keeping an eye on their hamsters when their on their running balls. Plus it's fun to watch them run around the tracks in their little cars."

"The product says "for furry friends," but one of those is NOT a chinchilla! Every time she'd round a corner, the chinchilla would fall off the track. I may buy it again to see how well it works for my rat. She's much smaller."

"I have 3 hamsters - 2 Syrains, and one Russian Dwarf - and none of them like this product! They all love their wheels and run-abouts, but none of them will run on this. The Syrians love their 8" Wodent Wheels, and the Dwarf loves his 6.5" Silent Spinner, and they each have their own run-about, as well, in which they each run at least 3 times per night, for 30-40 minutes each time. They LOVE to run, but they literally just sit on the hamtrac. They have tried and tried to use it, but they cannot make it around the curves. As other hamster owners have mentioned, I think the track is too short for them to build up the momentum needed to get all the way around the track. Maybe if you connect two tracks together to make the straight part longer, it might work better, but I don't know."

"This product only works well for very speedy animals, because they need to build up a lot of speed to make it around the curved part of the track. If your rodent is slow, they will get stuck and this product is pointless. Which is exactly what happened to my little hammies.
This track is smaller than the box makes it seem, but it still is good for people who have a small space to exercise their pets, like an apartment. I would only recommend this product to people who have very fast rodents."

"When I first put my hamster on the track, it was the first time I had put him in the ball as well... so the first track experience wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. He runs around it more than he did the first time but he doesn't go all crazy, doing lap after lap so that was kind of disappointing. He seems to move around a lot more off the track. Probably depends on the hamster, but the track is also a good way to keep your hamster in a specific area, makes it easier to clean up any potty accidents too, because you just check the track instead of the room area your hamster was rolling by in his ball."

"My two hamsters Midgey and Minie love this. They run around and around until they get tired. Sometimes Minie gets lazy and stops, then Midgey runs around until she hits Minie. Then she goes around the other way until she hits her again. She keeps doing the same thing forever until Minie wakes up, then they both run around again. I think this is the best hamster toy ever! I recommend it to all hamster owners."
