Well Worth the Money!!

"Our 5 yr old Cocker had barely mastered walking on a leash when we rescued a tri-pod 2 yr old Beagle.
The Beagle would pull so fiercely that he would make horrible choking noises, which would worry the Cocker, causing a loud commotion during EVERY walk.
We tried the Gentle Leader Headcollar on the Beagle, and he HATED it. Next we opted to purchase the Gentle Leader Easy Walk Harnesses for both dogs.
I can't even explain how much easier, quiet and relaxing our dog walking experience is with the Easy Walk Harnesses. The dogs have simply stopped pulling. It is no less than a miracle and well worth the purchase price!"

"Purchased this harness for our 5 month Labrador retriever. He was pulling so much on our walks that I was beginning to fear that I would not be able to take him on walks anymore if we could not find a solution to his pulling. This product was recommended in our puppy obedience classes. We have been using it for about two weeks now and he hardly pulls at all. Walks are so much better! I would recommend to anyone who has problems with their dogs pulling on the leash!"

"My dog used to pull and lunge when I walked her using a collar. But now that I use this she walks really well on the leash! She doesn't pull and she stays right by my side!
It does seem to run a little big though. My dog is a little over 30 pounds (cattle dog mix) and the medium is a little big on her. I haven't tried the small but I'm guessing it will be too small."

"My family has two medium sized dogs. I live on a quiet dirt road and often walk both dogs at the same time. That used to be an ordeal, with each dog pulling in a separate direction--more of a walk/drag than a true walk. Now, they both walk calmly and we can even meet the neighbor's cat without too much difficulty. This change took place within minutes the first time they wore these halters."

"If your dog pulls when walking him/her, this harness does not help. The harness would not stay adjusted to my dog's size and kept slipping as well. Better to go with the gentle lead around the head and mouth. Mine don't like this one, but are under control without any harm to them."

"I have never left a product review before but I couldn't resist sharing what an amazing product this harness is. I have two dogs that love their walks but LOVE to pull. Walks weren't as enjoyable for my husband and me but since buying these harnesses, we LOVE to walk the dogs! From the very first time we used the harnesses, our dogs automatically corrected their pulling and now seem to enjoy their walks even more, probably because they're not choking themselves!
I highly recommend trying this product!!!"

"I thought that we purchased the correct size harness, the Gentle Leader did not fit my pup. I would highly recommend trying this product on in the store and the purchasing it online for a great price. Even though the purchase was not the right fit, I found that our local PetCo took the purchase back with out a hassel."

Wonderful for walking

"I bought this for my border collie (65 pounds). He was so strong we couldn't walk with a normal coller and he gave me tennis elbow with all the jerking. Using the harness he was calmer immediately, we are able to concentrate on manners, we walk almost every day and the elbow is almost healed."

Best solution for a puller

"It was so frustrating to walk my big puppy. Despite her having learned how to heel and most of the time walking nicely next to me, she would always start to pull with all her might as soon as she saw another dog or a cat or a bird.... And there are a lot of dogs, cats and birds around!!! I tried different collars, leashes, harnesses... Hopeless. I was at my wit's end, until someone suggested we try the Gentle Leader harness. OMG!!! The change was instant!!! I don't understand how exactly this works, but it really works! My hyper pup was suddenly walking calmly either next to me or just a step ahead. Only one time she tried to pull again, and the "sommersault" that followed caught us both off guard (neither she nor I was hurt, just startled). She never tried again :-)
The package says that this should be used with a regular leash and not the retractable one. I've tried it with both types and can confirm that yes - it works great with the 4-6 feet long leash, and it does not work with a retractable leash. Super-long leash defeats the purpose of this type of harness!!
I've been using the Easy Walk Harness for about 4 months now. My dog has learned to step right into it when it's time for a walk. She is comfortable wearing it, and I haven't had an achy arm or a pulled muscle since day one."

Impossible for retractable leashes with small dogs

"Very disappointed! I tried these collars on my two 14 lb dogs because I thought it would prevent them from pulling as much. It did whirl them around to face me when they pulled, but at a frustrating cost. Because I prefer retractable leashes and because my dogs are so small, any slack in the leash allows them to step over it and it ends up under their belly. Also, the harness is useless when the leash comes up on the opposite side of the dog that you are on; at these moments they can pull you quite effectively! This does not work for small dogs because they are so low to the ground. I'd suggest this type of harness only for big dogs while using short leashes."

"I have 2 puggles that would compete with each other who could get out in front. It made a walking them very difficult. My female was the worst of the 2. I bought the Easy Walk Harness for her and it was a miracle. Absolutely no pulling at all. She remains by my side as we walk and should she stray out in front too far a gentle tug and she is right back in place. I so look forward to walking them now instead of dreading it."

"A coworker suggested this harness after she saw me struggling with my dog while on a walk. I had been using a prong collar which hasn't been the most effective. I just purchased the harness yesterday and it's wonderful!! I have an 85 lb Chocolate Lab and for the first time, he walks next to me and doesn't pull. The one time he did try to pull when he saw another dog, the harness held him back and he fell down. He hasn't attempted to pull since. I highly recommend this to anyone with a large dog!"

"My 5 month old lab pulled so hard on his limited slip collar that my kids would run him, rather than walking him. He pulls less against the Easy Walk, enough so that the kids can walk him. This does not replace loose leash walk training. I've started training with him a week ago, so we haven't used the Easy Walk since to avoid confusing him."

"I was hesitant to purchase this product over a regular harness which would have been half the price and available in more colors. However I'm so glad I did! I've only had it a week and it has produced immediate results! I have a young Border Terrier and had a hard time controlling her in public places because she was so excited. Now with this harness, I can walk her and she stays right by my side and will only go farther if I allow more slack on the leash. No tugging or pulling on her part! I'm so happy I purchased something that actually works like it says - worth the price!"
