Junk

"The instructions are poor; the timer seems reversed (if it isn't and if there is a proper way to program it, then it shoudl be in the directions, NOT on reef forums); the battery backup fails to remember memory settings; go with a better timer. Your tank and its inhabitants are too important to limp along with a poor timer solution."

Good enough, but I have wishes
Date: April 12, 2008
"I bought this timer/power strip because I wanted to have it turn on & off the light for me and I needed a power strip. These needs it takes care of well enough.
After I got it I wished to have it turn my bubbler on and off too, but at a different set of scheduled times. It appears that I cannot do this unless I want it to come on during the entire time that the lights are off.
Whatever you set it for, during this period, 2 outlets will be on and two will be off. The other 4 stay on. You can have different setting on different days, but this 2 on while 2 are off remains the same. So I can't have my air pump come on a midnight and my light come on a 8 am unless I want my light to stay on until midnight and my air pump to go off at 8 am.
Another issue: After doing the setting you have to push a button to start the timer. If the power goes off, you have to remember to push the button again (and since I seem to have a really sensitive GFCI outlet this happens really often). There is a battery so that it doesn't loose its other setting when unpluged, but for some reason it looses the info that the time should be "on".
It could be better, but since I don't see an alternative that isn't significantly more expensive, even if I had known this, I probably would have bought the same unit."
