"I bought this heater a few months ago to heat my 10 Gal tank. Since then I've adjusted the temperature a few times and every time the heater has performed beautifully, keeping my tank at a stable temperature all the time. I just bought another today for my new tank!"

Worked Maybe A Week Date: March 3, 2009
"I got this heater with my new aquarium for Valentines Day (Feb 14, 2009). I know that it worked at first because the blue indicator light was on. At what point it stopped working I do not. I have tried turning it up over the last week and it didn't increase in temp. So today (March 3, 2009) I pulled it out of the aquarium no it isn't working. It says has a lifetime warranty. I contacted the company on their website. We will see what they have to say. If they replace my heater I will come back and leave happy feedback. Until then I am not happy : ("

Good Submersible Heater Date: January 20, 2009
"The Aqueon Submersible Aquarium Heaters are a very good, reliable product, for the price. I purchased a second one as a back-up should the heater that came with my aquqrium kit should ever quit working."

Its ok Date: January 17, 2009
"I have three of these heaters and they all exhibit the same behavior.

Good:
-indicator light to show it is on
- keeps temperature consistent

Bad:
- temperature dial marks are in intervals of 4 degrees
- temperature gauge is not accurate. I set it on 72 degrees and it keeps my aquarium water at a toasty 80 degrees"

Worst heater Date: January 10, 2009
"I got the 50 watt heater for my 10 gallon tank, with in 2 weeks of getting it the heater quit working and developed some sort of crust all over it. The heater would either always be on over heating the tank or it would not be on at all letting the temperature drop to 65"

"I have the 13" 200 watt heater for my 55 galon freshwater. It is positioned upright against the side of the tank.
So far this unit has been great. Have been using it for about 2 months and the temp has not fluctuated more than 1 degree. The temp knob on the unit is not accurate. I have it set at 69 and it is holding a steady 75, but at least it holds a steady temp."

Don't be Fooled Date: December 25, 2008
"With the amount of money spent on fish i needed a reliable heater. On the box it states Lifetime warranty. Far from it. Six months after purchase the heater does not work and toady is Christams which means no stores are open. I hope my fish can withstand the 50 degree temp. compared to the 80 degress they need to be at. Called warranty # and no help. They want you to leave a message and someone will call you back in 2-3 days. If only tropical fish could handle the 30 degree difference! Not Good:("

Hasn't let me down. Date: May 16, 2008
"I have this heater in my 14 gallon quarantine tank. The temp in the tank hasn't moved more than .7 degrees. That was suprising to me because at night my house temp goes from 72 to 68 F. The cheap heater that came with the 55 gallon tank has swings of more than 2 F throughout the day. I will be upgrading soon."

a must buy for sure Date: February 13, 2008
"I have a 10 gallon freshwater aquarium and when I first got into fish I was dumb and bought a cheap heater not comparable to this one, well my fish eventually got sick because the temp was fluctuating so much. Once I put this heater in my fish regained health and temperature has been stable ever since."

Great Heater! Worth the Price! Date: January 25, 2008
"I recently purchased the 15" submersible heater and I really like it. I have an 80 gallon tropical tank and this heater brought the water up to temperature in no time! Also, it holds the temperature constant with no trouble at all. I have used many different brands and so far Aqueon is my favorite. The design is somewhat discreet, it does not distract from the fish and plants. I would definitely recommend this product."
