Super!!!
Date: July 18, 2009
"I purchased the 10 gallon power filter and it works great! Also very quite and very easy to set up! All you hear is the water falling out of the filter like a little waterfall, very relaxing at night. And it cleans the water VERY well! You also dont need an undergravel filter with a power filter, GREAT!!! BUY THIS FILTER BEGINNER OR EXPERT GREAT FILTER!!!"

Aqueon Aquarium
Date: November 8, 2009
"We purchased the 20 gallon Aqueon Aquarium kit and are very happy with the performance. We have an outdoor pond and decided to bring the goldfish and shubunkin inside for the winter. I also added two of the plants from the pond. Both the fish and plants seem to have adapted just fine. There are a total of 8 fish in the 20 gallon tank and probably at its maximum based on the size of the tank and fish. We were pleasantly suprised at how quiet the filter was. A true whisper. We've found the filter easy to rinse and replace. I'd recommend this product!"

Not happy with this filter.
Date: November 5, 2009
"Pros: Price
Cons: Motor is housed above the water intake tube. The motor is submerged in the aquarium. This takes up aquarium space and if you are using an UFG it will be a tight fit. I also do not like the fact that this is a big filter.
Filter media is one cartridge that has the carbon in it. Not enough carbon if you have your aquarium fully stocked or have messy fish.
I would spend the extra $10-12 dollars and get the Aqua Clear. It has 2-3 times the amount of carbon, 1 inch sponge, and a large pouch of ammonia remover.
I do not like the fact that when you replace your cartridge with the Aqueon you will throw away the good bacteria you waited so long when you cycled your tank (remember, there is only 1 cartridge for this filter). With the Aqua Clear you have 3. So you can change the carbon 1 month, the sponge the 2nd month, and the ammonia the 3rd month.
I now have the Aqueon, Aqua Clear, and an UGF running in my heavily stocked 10 gallon aquarium. It may be overkill, but the water is so much clearer.
I'm looking to upgrade to a bigger tank. Can't keep myself from getting new fish every time I go to Petco."

Don't Put This Near Where You'll Be Sleeping!
Date: October 8, 2009
"The pump/motor on this unit is not loud however, the trickling noise the water makes is so loud I can't sleep through it and will have to take it back. I have it set up properly and have the water level as high as I can get it in the tank without it overflowing. The problem seems to be from the water inside the unit outside the tank. It is like listening to a leaky faucet or someone pouring water into a glass all night."
