"I bought this filture for my two red ear sliders. The filter isn't very strong, and it left poo on the bottom of the tank. They hadn't been in the tank for more than three days when the filter started to make funny sounds, and not cleaning the tank at all! Not good at all."

Great Look, but filters need some remodeling!

"I bought this filter because I wanted to create a waterfall feature for my red-earred slider turtle. It was easy to put together, but it's not as the description states, the lid does not lock into position. It looks great in my 35 gallon flat back hexago tank and keeps the water moving around. However, they could've done a better job with the filter. It seems the filter is too small to accomodate the amount of debris a turtle gives. What I find myself doing is changing or just rinsing off the fliters every week. Once the filters are filled, the unit will not fill, thus will not overflow into the tank. It's also a little difficult to clean once it get really dirty, the bottom stays filled with algae and debris, I finding putting water in and shaking it around to be helpful. Other than that, I love it! My turtle sometimes tries to climb it too! Great accessory to any tank."

"I was hesitant buying this, But glad I did. I have this filter running for almost a month with a razorback musk, 10 feeder guppies, and a couple baby snails. The water has been crystal clear and does not smell the least. looks great, and natural. The only problem with is that the holes are big enough for my fish to hide inside.."

"The only thing this package is missing is a water heater. Its great for my turtle. I use it in combination with a water conditioner that helps break down the contaminants and I dont have to change the filters more than once a month. If you leave alot of food sitting in the tank the filters will get clogged faster ... so buy more food or scoop out the excess. The only thing that was a turn off was that it doesnt have a ramp like surface to go to the top. I purchased a floating dock and propped it against the rock and now that problem is eliminated. Highly recommend this product regardless!"

"After about a week the filters inside the the waterfall structure become clogged from residue. The waterfall is not powerful enough to let the water out. Inside the waterfall then becomes a nest for lava, then you get nats and mosquitos that live inside the structure."

"this is the worst filter ever. yeah it looks nice and it provides a basking area for my red-eared turtle but unless i put in new filters in ever other day and replaced half the water in between, the water was gross and smelly. the pump would clogged very easily and i had to rinse it out every day. i recommend spending a little more and buying a better filter"

"THis is a fantastic product for the price! I have 1 turtle in a 20 G tank & the H2O stays clean for over a month! Its also pretty quiet and looks beautiful & natural in my tank. The only problem is that the rock that sits on top doesn't really stay in place & the water splashes all over instead of trickling down. That was easily remedied by placing a rock (i found one in my yard!) on top. highly recommend it."

"When first purchasing this product I was very weary as to how well it would actually work in keeping my red earred sliders tank clean. I've been through countless filters trying to find one that will get, and keep the job done. This filter not only looks amazing, giving the tank awesome decoration, but it works better than any filter I have ever used. That's saying alot if this filter can keep a turtles tank clean!! Slinky is very happy with this product as am I. GREAT product! Would highly recommend!!!"
