"I bought this heater for my betta because it will be getting cold soon. The heater works great! It heated up the tank nicely and is very easy to clean/use. My betta seemed to love it as well, he made a nice bubble nest the next morning and is much more active.The only thing is that you have to make sure you watch the temperature, other than that I would definitely recommend it to a friend."

"I got this first for my 2 gallon tank for my betta and it worked great. I then upgraded the tank to a 4 gallon and it still works great, keeps the temp exactly where it should be. I bought another one for my son's 2.5 gallon betta tank and it works great. I would say as with any heater in my opinion to watch it especially at first to make sure the temp doesn't rise too much because it's a bit irresponsible to plug it in the first time without making sure it won't heat it up too much but i've had no problems with both of these heaters in 3 different tanks."

"This little heater warms my 1.5 gallon tank nicely. It raises the temperature about 5 degrees, which is perfect to keep my betta's water between 75-80 degrees. He is much happier and more active now that his water is warmer. If the ambient temperature gets above 75 degrees, you have to be careful to make sure that the tank does not get too warm. The heater conceals nicely under gravel and is not an eyesore like many other heaters."

Over All Good Heater For Small Tanks

"This heater is a wonderfull heaters especially becasue it is hard to find heaters for smaller tanks. It is a flat pad that is very easy to hide (Under Grave, behined plants, etc). Another good thing about this heater is that it can run dry with out getting ruined. The only draw back to this heater is that you can't put it in anything under 2 gallons becaused it does have a sensor to tell it when to shut off."

"Okay, so i have the 2.5 gallon mini-bow aquarium for my awesome betta fish Tito. The tank has a hood light to heat up the tank during the day. But when i have to go to bed i have to turn it off, so when i get up in the morning its about 65-68 degrees. So i got this heater and it works like a charm!!! Get this!!!!!!"

"I have a 1 gallon tank for my beta and the water was really cold before I got this heater. It says it's for 2 gallons but it's great in 1 gallon tanks too. It heats the water to around 76ish degrees on its own. Much warmer than what my apartment temerature is. My beta likes to be near it. I wonder if it's because it's warm? Anyway, great heater."

"This heater is effective for small tanks that need the water to stay a little warmer than room temperature.
The pros are: you can either attach this heater to the side of the tank with a suction cup OR you can completely hide it under your gravel, and just have the wire sneak up the corner of the tank.
The cons are: there is no way to adjust the temperature or have it turn off automatically. It is either on or off, and heats the water only a few degrees."

"I live in a cold, northern state and we keep our apartment between 60-65 F. I have two 2.5 gal tanks with guppies and these heaters work very well. I have one in each tank and they keep the temperatures perfect! I would highly recommend these heaters. Easy to install, easy to use. I couldn't ask for more! (Not to mention the very appropriate price!)"

"This little heater is great for my bettas 1 gal. tank!!! I love him and he seems to love it just as much! He likes to swim on top of it or stay behind it! It's not the best heater though because it dosen't keep a steady temp. but I don't need one because it dosen't move that much!! (like 2 degress!)

"Very easy to hide under gravel. I don't really know how good of heater it is because I have not had too use it yet(in the directions it says not to turn on if temp is at or above 75F). I'm sure I will this winter though. Good buy. Can't find better for small aquariums."

"This heater works wonders. It's under the gravel of my 3 gallon betta tank (Sparky) and he loves it. As a plus, it's virtually invisible! He's active and seems pretty happy. Haven't had any diseases either since we first got him and had him in an unfiltered, unheated tank. Keeps the 2 gallons+ of water around 78 - 82. I'm going to try it in the 1 gallon tank of my female betta, Rosy Knieval, and will finally be able take the heating pad away!!!

I was nervous about purchasing this at first, because I have heard that a small heater without a temperature setting will not regulate the water temperature well in a small tank.
