"We went to vist Uncle in NY state. Somehow, a chipmunk has decided to live in his sofa. He leaves the door open and yummies outside, but it like to live in the sofa.... We hoped that teaching Timmi to play with the toy would encourage her to chase the real chipmunk... They made great friends!!!"

"My 2-year old beagle is not a chewer, but when he gets in a mood to chase and play, this is the toy he grabs as he runs laps around the house or yard! Once we stop throwing it and letting him have at it, he tries to rip it apart, but in a month he's barely gotten one small foot seam apart. I will be buying a few more of the critters in this series to make sure he always has a friend."

"We got this for our dog when she was a puppy. Ever sense she's been trying to rip the fur out, but it never worked. She's almost 2 years old now and the only damage to the toy is some dried slobber to the fur, but not much."

"We bought our Yorkie, who has torn up every toy under the sun, 2 of these AKC brand stuffed critters for Christmas '07. Imagine our surprise when Cooper the Yorkie did *not* rip this toy apart in a matter of minutes! As of now, the squeaker is still intact as well as all other parts. AMAZING! We originally felt the price was a tad high, but this is totally worth it! Try them."

"This chipmunk keeps my dogs attention for hours and hours. It is very realistic and brings out my dogs hunting insticts while in the great indoors. His fun with this toy makes it a good buy."

My Dog's Favorite

"I purchased this toy for my dog about a year ago, becuase she love chasing squirrels and chipmunks. It has been her favorite ever since. She cuddles with it at night to sleep, and plays with it all day. It still squeeks and everything even though she plays with it constantly. She never grows tired of it! We even named him; Ambassador. I'm not sure why it's ambassador, but she knows the squirrel toy by name. "Where's Ambassador?" and she's run to get him! So cute!"

"My dog just loves playing with his chipmunk, he flips it, shakes its and growls at it. This is an excellent toy for a dog who loves to play. The only thing is he does after about a month or two he does kill the squeaker but other than that the toy holds up very well."

"Our mixed breed (husky/samoyed/shepherd) loves this toy! We've had it quite sometime now. It's full of dried slobber, a testimony to the fact that it's one of her favorites!!!!! Sometimes she just lays down with it between her paws and licks it, like a puppy. Cute."

"Whenever Jake comes into the house, he heads straight for the "toy box." The first toy he seeks out is this one. He then proceeds to maul the thing for at least 20 minutes until it's good and soggy and I am about to scream from the endless squeaking. But it's a small price to pay for something that he so obviously enjoys."

More Than 1 Dog?

"Forget "Variety is the Spice of Life". I thought that until the Chipmunk was unwrapped and 2 usually complacent dogs went wild over this toy. This tough toy held up under a tug of war and an afternoon of munching, dragging and being carried around like a prized trophy. How did I solve the jealously problem? I bought another. A great sturdy little guy who obviously won the hearts of his new owners."

"We have two dogs a Cocker Spaniel and a Cockapoo. Both destroy everything we buy. We find that the AKC toys are the only ones that seem to last any lenght of time. This particular toy seemed to hold up the best."
