"My two cats love the Drinkwell Platinum Fountain. They both drink from the waterfall not the bowl. They are eating less dry food so I believe this product does encourage them to drink more water. I cannot hear the motor at all. The waterfall does sound like a waterfall but it is not loud; its actually therapeutic."

"I love this product! It is very quiet and easy to assemble. The only down side to it is, with 4 dogs and 2 cats drinking out of it daily, you have to clean it at least once a week, if not more! But if you only have 1 or 2 pets, it shouldn't e as bad. And, my mother and I have cut ourselves twice, while unscrewing the cap to refill the reservoir. But if you are careful, it can be avoided!
Overall, I would highly recommend it and plan to buy one for my aunt and her 2 cats!"

"Both my cats love this fountain, and now I don't have to turn on the sink for them. They took about a day to warm up to it, but now prefer it over their other water bowls."

"my ragdoll kitty LOVES this water fountain. he could sit in front of it and watch it for hours. he loves to try and "catch" the water falling, or he sticks his head under the water fall soaking his head. and he does drink quite a bit of water for such a small kitty."

"My male cat recently was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection and needed to drink more water. This fountain was just what he needed. The flowing water really sparked curiosity and promoted more trips to the dish meaning more water being consumed. The design of this fountain is great, and it is relativily quiet. I think this is a great product."

"I have had this fountain running NON STOP for 4 YEARS! It has also been out doors aswell!I clean it regularly and we live in a VERY hot climate I LOVE this bowl and so do our Boston Terriers! I never would have guessed when I purchased this fountain four years ago that it would still be running strong! I HIGHLY recommend this product it is WONDERFUL!!!!!"

"I had the smaller petmate fountain first, but I was always filling it - once if not twice a day. I saw this one with the huge tank and just had to try it. Both of the cats will just sit and watch it for hours! I have never really worried about them not getting enough water, but now with this fountain it really is not an issue, because if one cat is drinking out of it and the other one sees him, the second one will go over and they will have a drink-off!!"

"This is an excellent product! I was a bit concerned because of the price, but it is quiet, and with 2 kittens who LOVE to drink out of the sink faucets, I decided it was worth a try. They love it! It took a couple of days, but now I don't have to worry about them getting enough water when I'm not home.
I highly recommend it!"

"Had two of the Drinkwell fountains and were not happy with them. Got the Drinkwell Platinum fountain and it is the absolute best. Quite, easy to clean, doesn't leak,cats can not get top off and get to filter, has a water submerged motor so there is not worry about getting the motor wet, has a filter behind the flow control to catch hair before it gets to the motor and you can clean the hair from that......could go on and on. Love this product and give it the highest recommendation.=^..^="

"Well, I received my Drinkwell Platnium Pet Fountain as a gift from a friend in March. After getting used to the sound of it's motor, which isn't that bad, I found that it is a must have for my cat, Miu. The reservoir is nice and roomy, and you can adjust the water flow speed. Clean up is good. It took my cat about a week to get used to it. The top lid needs be secure, because if it isn't, it will make a buzzing sound. Reservoir tank cannot stand on it's own for filling when inverted. Other than that, it is a great product, that serves my cat well!"

"The motor is really loud and the water splashes out. Not a relaxing or zen drinking fountain for your pets. I recommend the Petmate Freshflow foutain. It has a waterslide flow that is quiet and the motor is really quiet too."

"The fountain has great capcity but a bit noisy when running. The sound of the water is fine but there is a bit of a hum coming from the pump and vibrating the housing. Other than that, the fountain works fine."

"I have Cats who throughly enjoy spending time drinking water from a slow running faucet, and playing with the water, over all they are facinated by it. Any time I am near a sink they will stare me down until I turn that sink on.
I found this wonderful product and they enjoy having their very own 'faucet' all the time. It has a water filter, which is a neat feature, however I already gave my cats filtered water in their dishes, and in this unit as well.
Overall this is an amazing product.
I recommended this to a friend, however her cat was scared of it and would not use it. I suppose my cats liked it because they are drawn to running water."

"It didn't work out that well for us. The water level on the bowel portion was up to the edge. It seems as if it is going to over flow any min.
When use in combo with "Aqua Garden", it also makes the water bubbly. This is going back to the store.."

"My cats absolutely love their water fountain. I have some cats that do not drink enough water and I happy so say the fountain has help tremendously. "I have six cats and when getting ready in the morning, three of them were always jumping up wanting the running water in the sink. I bought the fountain and now I can get ready with no cats. They all took to it the minute I set it up. It is very quite. It airates the water, so it is never stale. You can set the flow of the water to come out fast down to a trickle. I was changing their water twice a day and now I just clean it once a week and fill it up twice a week. It has been the best thing I have gotten for them yet. would recommend it to all that have pets."
