Wonderful!! Date: October 29, 2008
"My dogs were not picky eaters until I tried Pet Promise, now they won't eat anything else! Before they didn't care what they had as long as it filled their tummys! Now, they will only eat Pet Promise! They have lost weight, have shiny coats, no gas! and they are happier!! And so am I!!!!"

"I have 3 Chinese Cresteds, they are small dogs. They are not usually finicky. They did not like this food at all. I was going to switch from BilJac to this; but the girls won't eat it. I think the size of the bits are too big for small dogs. Heathly food- but that does me no good if the dogs don't like the flavor and won't eat it."

The BEST Wet and Dry Dog Food Date: April 12, 2008
"I have tried several brands and researched them all! None can compare to Pet Promise! Texture, flavor, aroma and my pits love it! I love the fact they do not use caged animals or fillers. If you go to their website you will be pleasantly surprised with the love and caring that goes into making this food. I would give it 10 stars if I could!!"

"I have a very old pet 171/2yrs and he is very picky eater and has a easily upset digestion. I have tried several(6) different types of dog food. I place them in the bowl and this is the one he will eat first . My two new Boder Collie puppies also pick this food over their own puppy food."

finally, a dry food my dog loves Date: January 21, 2008
"my chihuahua mix can be very finicky, and I wanted to find her a high quality food made in the good old U.S. of A. I have read Dr Weils book on nutrition, and when I noticed he was endorsing this product I was impressed. My dog loves both the dry and canned versions of this product, chicken with brown rice is her favorite!!"

Best dog food Date: November 30, 2007
"As an owner of retired racing greyhounds, I have been meticulous in picking food for my dogs. I have read every label, compared every brand, and gently tried the winners over the past 6 years. Nutro used to be our brand, but the Pet Promise has the same great ratios of ingredients PLUS no hormones or antibiotics, support of sustainable local agriculture, no by-products, and great taste. The dogs love it, and their stool is solid and far less stinky. It doesn't upset my sensitive-stomached boy. My motto is I don't feed my dogs what I would not eat myself. I am SO excited that Petco is selling this in real-size bags that I'm going to run out and get it to mix with their current food and slowly make their brand of choice (we've been using sample bags!!!).
Those who really know about Dr. Andrew Weil know that he has raised Rhodesian Ridgebacks for decades and is extremely dedicated to his dogs. His commitment to whole, organic nutrition for humans made me more trustful of a new brand of food on the market, and I am so glad we tried it."

Promise? Date: November 25, 2007
"As a pet nutrition specialist, I know almost every dog food's labels backwards and forwards. I tend to favor Nutro for everything. I decided to try this food because of it not having By products and because the trial was $1.99. My dog enjoyed it. But I have some problems with it. 1. using Dr. Andrew Weil as a spokesperson is not going to earn my dollars. He is a human doctor, not a veterinarian; so he is not qualified to be making animal nutrition recommendations. 2. This food seems to knock chicken meals. Chicken meals are the best for your animal. All meals means is that the water and fat has been removed from REAL meat. Do you want your dog fat or over hydrated? I think not. If they are not putting in by products, or chicken meals in their food.. what are they putting in it? 3. This food lacks the Linoleic acid of Nutro or other foods. They only put the minimum. Your animal needs this omega 3/6 to have a healthy skin and coat balance. I just dont agree with it. But my dog does eat it. I wont be buying a large bag thats for sure."

"My 14 year old female husky has had terrible smelling flatulence. I've tried several different health brands none of which cured the problem. I started my first bag of Pet Promise and her flatulence is completely gone!"

Best of both worlds Date: October 4, 2007
"I was purchasing the Newman's own brand until it became almost impossible to come by except for the smallest of bags. I would rate this food right along side the Newman's own. My dog thinks he's dining out and can't wait for me to put it in his bowl. Best of all for us humans, this food is also much easier to come by. Hence the best of both worlds. Easy on the human and great for your pup!"

Review 10 for Pet Promise Daily Health Nutrition Adult Dog Food

This is about the only acceptable dog food I know. Date: September 13, 2007
"Open a bag of Pet Promise, then a bag of other typical advertised major brand pet food. Smell each and compare then you'll know that Pet Promise is a vastly higher quality food - it doesn't smell putrid! Pet food should NOT smell putrid or the least bit 'funny', it's just that we, the human owners, have been conditioned to believe that it is normal for pet food to smell that way and it's okay for pets to eat. What a scam. Most brands make claims of being the best and healthiest, advertise it with clever names, and package their pet food in fancy colorful bags - but what they're not telling you is that they are using animal by-products, scraps, and protein "fillers" that either should be considered hazardous waste, or don't belong in a dog's stomach (that nature intended anyway). Hence the foul odor is self-evident.
The difference in odor alone is astonishing. That should clue you in as to hidden harmful garbage the major brands put in YOUR dog's food.
Look at it this way: spend a little extra on Pet Promise now, and save A LOT later on vet bills. If you think Pet Promise is expensive, try constant vet bills after you dog gets older and starts suffering the ill health effects from having consumed 'regular' dog food.
The difference in health evident in my dog since eating only Pet Promise is real to me. He has manifested better overall health, appetite, coat, MUCH less odor from both body and stool (and quantity of same too).
When it comes to foods, the same rule applies to pets as it does to humans: "You are what you eat"; and "garbage in, garbage out.""

my picky dog LOVES this food Date: March 5, 2007
"I officially have the pickiest dog on the planet. She just won't eat food I put in front of her. For 3 years, I've had to switch whatever brand of food I've been feeding her because she gets bored and stops eating. However, I think we've found a winner with Pet Promise. She LOVES this food, and gobbles it down. It's unfortunately a little pricier than the brands at the grocery store, but at least it's a lot healthier. I highly recommend this brand."
