"My old roommate had two barn cats living in her bedroom. When she left and her room was opened up, an infestation of fleas took over the house, and my two cats were covered in them. I had the house professionally exterminated and the day before gave them both good baths with this stuff. The smaller one didn't have as many on her, so it only took one bath to kill them all. There were a lot more fleas on my larger male cat, especially around his lower belly area, and I had to wash him twice because the first time just didn't cut it (he's also much more aggressive when being washed, so it was hard to get everywhere and have it on for 3 minutes). This stuff did a really nice job killing the fleas, it made their coats very soft and they smelled very nice. I haven't seen another flea since, and I partially attribute that to this shampoo.
This is an excellent product if you can get your cat in a bath."

Bug Off!
Doesn't prevent re-infestation very long

"My 15 year old cat had lots of fleas gotten from a visit to the NJ shore. I fogged my house with a flea-killer and sprayed an IGR flea control product on the upholstery & carpets. (Kept the cat outdoors & myself too after doing this.) Then I bathed my cat with Sentry PurrScriptions Plus Flea & Tick Shampoo For Cats And Kittens. I took my time and waited quite a while before thoroughly rinsing him. (He wasn't too happy.) All of the fleas appeared to have died. I brushed & checked him daily. But a week later, they were back again. (He does occasionally go outdoors to sit in the sun and possibly attracted the fleas there.) So, I think this product is great for removing the fleas on your cat. But not for preventing re-infestation for 30 days, so... I just bathed the cat again (and he wasn't too happy) with the Sentry shampoo. I'll keep him indoors. And in two days, I'll apply Frontline Plus. I hope that does the trick."
