"OHMYGOSH! I have had my tank for over 10 years and I love it. It is 40 gal and deep. The suction thingy works wonderfully and made cleaning the tank a breeze...easiest time EVER. Believe it or not, I'm looking forward to the next cleaning!"

Possibly worst purchase ever

"Very bad product. Cannot say a single part of it worked right. The Intake is too large for a small tank. I couldn't get the water to travel up hill long enough to start siphoning. Then at really extreme angles i got some to pump through. But it doesn't really help to vacuum the surface of the water. I finally got it to siphon for maybe 15 seconds, if that and it did nothing but disturb the gravel and stir everything into the water. I didn't see it suck anything out, It just put it back into the water. Every single joint on the pump leaks to no end. Would not suggest this to anybody."

"Other than the aforementioned leakage, which in my case was mild, and the fact that the screen gets clogged easily, this is a wonderful product. Cleaned our 50 gallon tank in less than 20 minutes. The screen does pop out and there is no danger of rocks or fish being taken out so I wonder why even have it other than for looks. It really isn't needed so just get something and pop it out and you are good to go."

"This little guy is probably one of the best investments you can make in a fish tank. It works perfectly and the water comes out quickly. It has a valve to turn it off when you have to do something else and the tube has a strainer so you dont suck any gravel or fish up by mistake. It is a waste not to buy it!"

"I used the Python system for many years to clean out my 29 gallon tank, and it worked OK. But when we had a new kitchen put in and the new faucet didn’t have the ability to take a hose attachment I had to find an alternative. I’ve tried the battery powered gravel cleaners in the past and they are awful. I was tempted to spend $50 on a “better” battery powered cleaner but took a chance on this cheaper option and it turned out to be a great decision. It’s very easy to start – just a few squeezes on the hand pump and the water rushes out at a very high rate. The suction in the tank is almost too good. You have to be careful not to suck up all your gravel. The long siphon and hard plastic tube mean you don’t have to bury your hand in the tank while using it and it’s very easy to control. Compared to the Python system, I can empty 15 gallons of water out of my tank in about half the time it used to take and the tank is much cleaner. This is a very simple but terrific product at a very affordable price. I highly recommend it."

"I have big fish and big tanks. This is the best gravel cleaner that I own. There ARE a couple small problems with it. The screen is too small to allow large amounts of yuck through. So when I get ready to pull it out of the tank I put a net under it before pulling it out of the water. That keeps the yuck from going back in. It tends to leak around the bulb, so I duct taped it. Problems solved. No sucking on the tube to get it started, and the shut off valve is handy."

"The siphon works great but where the hoses connect it leaks I have to use zip ties or a c-clamp to stop it. And you can't beat the price."

"Its not the best gravel vac I have ever purchase but its the easiest thing to use if you drip coral or saltwater fish in a 5 gallon bucket because of the ball valve at the end. You can slow down the water flow to slowly acclimate your coral or new fish to your water chemistry. I used some plumbers tape on both ends where it connects to the thing you squeeze to start the siphon, otherwise it slipped off easily. This is a great product to get if you don't want nasty fish water in your mouth."

"The bulb siphon is nice, but the filter clogs & waste does not pass through. It sucks up more water than it does clean. Be prepared to replace most of the water!"

"Works excellent for 30 gallon and up. We have 3 tanks, the smallest being 10 gallons and this device is to big for the 30 gallon and bellow tanks. Otherwise it is an excellent product and the suction buld keeps you from having to suck on the tube, which usually ends with water in your mouth Ew !"
