"I own 3 double coat pugs and boy do they shed! I have tried everything to control this and until a friend recommened the FURmimator, I had given up. This tool is amazing and my dogs love when I use it on them! Now when I sweep my house I no longer sweep up excessive amounts of hair. Bravo, this is an excellent shedding control tool and I strongly recommend this."

Can't Rave Enough

"I paid $40 plus tip to have my dog "deFurminated" at a grooming shop.
When I saw the product available at the store, I hesitated buying it, thinking the groomers went through some offical training program through the "Furminator" company--but eventually purchased this tool to save money and time.
Well, I couldn't be more surprised at the amount of undercoat hair that I raked out of my short haired chihuahua. Clumps!
I spent at least 20 minutes raking away the first batch (which she LOVED BTW). She looked like she lost weight so much came out.
When I Furminate her at the first signs of hair loosening, I can pretty much clean her out to the point where we find NO loose hairs until the next time (easily a month plus).
My dog is also VERY happy since she isn't so itchy all the time and her top coat is healthy and soft."

"The fur eliminated from one brushing is far more than any other brush I've used. It leaves the coat soft and silky smooth!!
The only slight drawback is that I think it's a little heavy (weight-wise) for a small dog."

"After reading all the reviews for the Furminator I decided to purchase one. When I got it in the mail I was so excited to use it. I have a German Shepherd mix and there were constantly "doggy hair tumble weeds" rolling through my house no matter how much I vaccuumed. I took my dog outside and began "furminating" him. He loved it! The wags of hair that came off him were so big he was trying to chase them as they blew away! I cannot believe how much loose hair this tool removes. My dog always had a dandruff and itchy skin problem. Now his skin is so much better. His coat is so healthy and shiny now! And there is MUCH less hair in the house. I love the Furminator so much I want to go visit my friends with dogs and use it on them!!"

"I am with most of the reviewers here - the furminator is EXCELLENT at reducing the amount of hair shed by our dog - a German Shepherd mix. The first couple times we used the brush, we got tons of hair. After the first few brushings (spanned over about 2 weeks) we noticed we could pet her without getting a handful of hair. Now we only have to brush her with it about once a month or so to keep her shedding down. I was about to go crazy from all the hair everywhere - now it's dramatically reduced and I don't have to vacuum every day. :) I attached a picture of the first round of brushing, and a photo of our medium-sized dog."

"I had heard about the FURminator but was too cheap to pay $30 for a cat brush. After going through lint roller after lint roller and filling vacuum bag after vacuum bag I gave it a shot. The first time I used it, it got rid of 90% of my cat's shedding hair. One of the few products that while I thought it was over priced hype, turned out to be worth it"

"Several friends recommended the FURminator for our cat. Before when we would brush him, we never got much fur, so we thought he just didn't shed much. With the FURminator, every time we brush him we get a big handful of fur. Plus, he really seems to like it more than his other brush. It's a little expensive, but it works much better than anything else we've ever used."

"I saw an ad for this product and thought that if it was 1/2 as good as they say it is....I'm currently living with 3 dogs and 3 cats, and my home is constantly covered with fur. As I don't want to spend the remainder of the summer vacuuming I decided to give it a try. I went to PETCO and was reading about different tools when another customer suggested I try a shed blade. She stated it worked as well for a fraction of the cost of the FURminator. I bought both. I used the shed blade first and removed a massive amount of fur from my dog. I followed up with the FURminator. Simply stated, it far surpassed my expectations. In less than 24 hours, I have groomed all 6 pets and removed an embarrassing amount of fur. It would probably fill an entire vacuum cleaner bag. 5 of 6 pets are following me around for more grooming. I'm not kidding.

"I bought this on the suggestion of a Petco employee. For $60 I was a bit skeptical, but after using it, I love it! I have a shepherd mix and I must say, for a dog with a thick undercoat this brush is essential. The first time I used it, it took a while to brush out my dog but the amount of hair removed was incredible. I now brush him once a week for light maintenance and it takes a fraction of the time an ordinary brush takes. I don't know what I would do without this comb!"

"I guess I'll add my voice to the chorus of folks singing the praises of the Furminator. I was extremely skeptical about spending $50 for a dog brush. I asked for the manager and wanted to be absolutely sure that they would take the thing back if it didn't work. Wrote down his name and everything... I actually hid the receipt from my wife when I got home because I knew she'd freak that I had just spent even more money on a problem that we had all but given up on.
My puggle sheds like no dog I've ever seen. Everything we own is covered in his fur. It's awful. NOTHING has even come close to working until last night when I took him outside and used the Furminator on him. MY GOSH what a difference! The first swipe along his spine (where he doesn't even seem to do that much shedding) and the entire brush was covered in fur. By the end, my entire back yard was covered in fur, and my little puggle looked great. I can now run my hand down his back and only get one or two hairs each time.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, TAHNK YOU for such an amazing product. Well worth the money."

"I was a little skeptical at first. After using the product, it works great. It is so nice to have a product that lives up to what it is suppose to do.
My cats shed like crazy. The conventional brush didn't remove the under coat. After brushing them petting more fur would come out. Now with the furminator, no more loose under coat. My cat's fur is softer and shines. This is a must have if you cat sheds alot and who's doesn't.

"I'll echo what most everyone said here - at first I was a "dis-believer" & thought it was just another grooming tool that wasn't going to work.
I have a 11 year old red Chow - probably his least favorite thing to do is be groomed - but he's blessed/cursed with a gorgeous coat and a very thick undercoat.
He was a little wary at first but I could tell from the beginning that the FURminator was different - he actually sat for about 30 minutes the first go-round - and combined with ear rubs (his favorite thing!) - I was able to get so much undercoat off of him that I had enough fur to make a family of little red pomeranians!!! ;-)
The FURminator is amazing - I wish I had tried it sooner !!!"

"Like some of the other reviewers here, I had my doubts about this product at first. My curiousity got the better of me and I finally decided to buy one. I can't rave enough about the FURminator. We combed out the equivalent of a small dog out of our Lab's coat! Absolutely amazing! The dog loved being combed, in fact, she just about fell asleep. We were SO impressed, we bought a FURminator for the cat as well.
Yes, it's pricey, but this has been the only tool that has been effective in deshedding our wonderful pets. Highly recommended!"

"I am a grooming assistant and I use this tool every time I'm at work. It removes the loose undercoat of dogs very easily. If you have a husky or a sheperd or any double coated dog this is perfect. It even worked on my wire fox terrier! The only problem is that if you use it too much in one brushing session it may irritate your pets' skin so just be careful and don't press too hard. much more efficient than a slicker brush. It is worth the money!!!"

"This is the most amazing grooming tool, in one brush down the back of my medium haired dog I get a giant wad of hair! In a good 5 minutes of brushing I have half a paper grocery bag filled!!! A MUST for medium or longhaired dogs. Especially in the Spring, when they drop their Winter coats."
