I stack 2 gates on top of each other to keep my kitty from getting into areas that he shouldn't... Plus, he can't get his head/other body parts stuck in between bars or have anything to grab hold of to scale the gates. I highly recommend these pet gates for safety, stability & ease of use.

I love this gate! As a cat rescue, we always have little foster kittens running around. They quickly learn to climb over the wire gates, or get through the bars on them. This prevents them from escaping their room, and allows them to see what going on in the rest of the house!

This is an excellent product. But if you want to use it as a barrier for a cat, think again. What I wound up doing, was getting another gate to put directly atop the first gate. My little fella was determined to get over it. I was fortunate enough, to a have short gate,that I put atop the 2nd gate to cover the entire doorway. This was the only way I could keep my climber in the room I wanted him to stay in without shutting the door. What most likely will work is 2 extra tall gates. The extra tall gate is 44 inches tall. This gate is only 32 give or take a couple of inches tall. But if you have a climber as I do, get 2.

Our dog was chewing on the wire gates and we were worried he may hurt his paw or catch his teeth on the wires so we tried this one. It is great! He now paws at the gate which is ok. I would highly recommend this gate.

I was excited when I pulled this gate out of the box, because it is well made and the height was great. However, it only adjusts by an inch either way. So in other words, if your door frame is 28 1/2", the gate will be either too big or too small. I was willing to try bracing it in the frame, but my 23lb Boston Terrier figured that out quickly. I don't know if all pet gates adjust in the same way, but I sent it back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this gate to keep our kitties from bolting out the door onto our balcony. I love that it has clear plastic panels. I love that it is tall enough to deter the cats from jumping over it. The one thing I do not love is that it is even too tall for me to get over! This, however, is no fault of the gate or the manufacturer. This gate come right up to just under the door knob...and this gate is 4" taller than my inseam...sooo back to the store it goes. If I were taller, or if the gate were a little shorter I would definitely keep it!!

This gate is great for cats, allowing them to 'see' into the blocked-off room, while snugly fitting into the doorway. Easy to put on and take off, even with one hand in a cast (broken finger)!
The only negative part for me is that it doesn't seem tall enough. Although I haven't seen them do it, I believe my cats could jump over it if they tried. They are both 'seniors', but I have seen them jump a tall fence outside. So I added a piece of cardboard to the top for peace of mind!
Most pet gates are geared toward dogs, and this seemed like the best gate--for the price--for cats. Maybe the really expensive gates are taller, but this one is great for the price-point.

My mangy little Rat Terriers can't climb over these gates like regular baby gates. The little extra height and the smooth surface work well to contain them in my kitchen.

Took me a few minutes to figure out (the directions were on the box covered by the packing slip) but once I did it was super easy and works perfectly for keeping my puppy in the hallway while we're not home.

my 10 lb shitzu was able to jump over it. I left the house for a couple of hours and when I got back she was out of the gate with the gate still intact. She chewed away at the wood on the side as well. She has separation anxiety and is determined to get out to find me. She ripped up the carpeting at the front door thinking she could dig her way out. What a mess I came home to. I tried crating her and she was able to get out of that. My next step is to put her back in the crate and I bought a padlock so she cant flip the crate lock open. I am at my wits end as to what to do about her behavior when I am out of the house. It makes me even angryer that I paid $10.00 more then the sale price just 3 days ago in the store.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The gate works well to keep our three ferrets safe in their room where they can be out of the cage to run around, get exercise and play for extended periods of time. It is easy to operate the gate.

If you have crown molding, then this pet gate may not work well for you since you really need the sides of the gate to be flush with the wall. This is not really a comment on the product as much as it is guidance for customers on things to consider before buying this product.

This the best gate I have encountered. The 2 most impressive features are the plastic side that prevents the dog from climbing the simplicity of locking the gate in place.

The gate was perfect for containing my 6 pound yorkie mix. Because it is made of smooth plastic to a wood frame she cannot climb it as with other wire or mesh gates. I probably could have gone with the 23" size but opted for the 32" just to make sure she couldnt get over it and get into mischief while I am at work. I can't say if it would be effective for a larger dog or not.

My 4 month Chihuahua puppy jumped over this within 2 minutes, not great for a agile dogs.

This dog doorway gate is a top quality product that is simple to use and very effective. I especially like the fact that it has plexi glass panels instead of those wooden crib bars found on most of these products.

i had a wooden gate that the morkie-tessa had no problem climbing..and out of the room she went..to the cat litter box or find some tissue to rip up..like a crazy kid!! this gate is too high for her to jump and she cant climb it.. but not to high for the cat so she can come and go.. wish you stocked it in the store but it was fast delivery so no complaints here!!
