"When Colby was sick at the vet for over a week, I bought this for him to come home to. He loves it to death. He is a HUGE cat, and he makes himself fit in it. He also likes to be inside when it is converted to a cubby, but wont go in it as much because he is too big and doesnt fit in it well. He will be inside with some limbs hanging out.
When he takes a day off, he will literally be in bed ALL DAY leaving only to eat and use the can. He loves it.
The kitten Ripley I brought home recently, also likes the bed. He loves sleeping on top of it, or inside the cubby. The material inside the cubby is so very soft and fluffy that I want to sleep in it myself. Ripley especially likes the inside but I don't open it as much because I cater to Colbys needs. Its his bed first.
Sometimes the kitten tries to squeeze in the bed with big ol' Colby too. It is a ridiculously tight squeeze, but the bed must be so good, that they don't care.
The catnip mesh bag that you can put inside of it is a neat feature. It definately helps the cats warm up to the bed faster. I accidently washed the bed when the bag was still inside, and now the scent must be all over the place because I cant keep the cats off of it. One cat will be sleeping in it, and the other one will be trying to rub against it while licking it.
If you tend to keep it closed a lot, I recommend opening it into a cubby and using a sticky roller or some other pet hair remover in the cracks and corners where the bed folds. Colby sheds a lot and cat hair gets stuck in the cracks all the time. A LOT of it. I hate getting cathair all over the house, so I try to keep on top of that.
Hope this helps you decide what bed you would like to purchase."
