"I like this bedding better than the Carefresh bedding. This bedding seems softer, and it's easier to remove when it's soiled. It does have one problem in that it gets on the floor easily and then is tracked all over the house on your feet. It's not a big problem, but there it is."

"i much prefer kaytee to carefresh. 1. it expands more, so you get more. 2. it stays put in the cage- carefresh migrates to the corners quickly as my guinea pig moves around. the kaytee tends to stay put. 3. i have to clean the cage was less often than with other products. 4. it's cheaper than carefresh."

"We used Carefresh for months, and I do recommend it as a great product. Still, Total Comfort gets compacted a little more, and the guinea pigs walk easier on it. It is really absorbent, and has little dust. Not cheap (we clean the dirty/wet areas every day) but worth it. Our gps are in the cage all the time and deserve the best (and safest) bedding. Put timothy hay in a corner and they will take naps there. The bedding underneath will absorb the urine and the little critters will stay dry, healthy and happy."

Dwarf Hamster Bedding

"I used this for my dwarf hamsters as an alternative to pine and aspen and my dwarfs seem to like. The only thing I don't neccessarily like is that lack of odor control and that I have to change the bedding much more often. Other than that I would recommend it for a good alternative to softwood shavings."

"I picked up a bag of this because my normal brand was all sold out and this seemed to have "more bang for the buck" because it expands. This is not quality at all. Once this was in my piggies cage and he walked around on it it completly flattened back to its "compressed" size. So every day I have to fluff it back up to shape. Also this has so much dust! If it isnt dust, I dont know what else it could be. It gets in the air and into your lungs, yuck. This doens't even absorb very well at all. Once liquid gets into it it turns into what I call mud. It's thick, it's sticky and stinky and brown. I have to use a spatula to scrape it off the bottom of the cage. Everyone in the house says the cage stinks. This bedding jsut doesnt cut it. I would only use this as a last resort."

Very dusty, clumps frequently

"So many things about this litter upset me, mostly because I found it's ability to control odor lacking. It's incredibly dusty, even with an open air cage for some of my pets, it still made them sneeze. My guinea pigs and rats sneezed, so did my hamsters!
I found other beddings more useful than this, it is dusty, smelly and I don't think it works nearly as well as carefresh does."

"The good thing-this product absorbs odors really well. The bad part-the product is very, very dusty. Package states virtually dust-free. No way. I will never buy this product again because of how much dust collected in the cage and around the outside of the cage.

"This bedding worked good I don't think my mouse liked it as much because it seemed to clump together and it was hard for her to move it around. But it is easier to clean it because it comes in 1 big piece. It was okay though not bad not good."

"I usually buy the fresh care bedding for my rattie girls, but I saw this on sale and read some reviews and thought I would try it...It is a good product. I have not had any problem with the dust as some others have said. My girls enjoy digging it up and hiding in it. The only thing I don't like is with this bedding it has a soft odor to it, unlike the fresh care which I did not notice an odor at all. However just because I don't like the odor does not mean it is not helpful. Since I started using this litter my girls cages don't smell at all. So I suppose the odor of the litter covers it up a bit. LOL"

"I had been using Carefresh bedding then decided to try this product. I do like it but it only works for short haired hamsters. We have 2 long haired hamsters and 1 short haired hamster. With the longer haired ones this bedding gets stuck in thier hair. I constantly have to comb the bedding out of thier fur. I didn't have to do this with the other bedding we used to use. All 3 hamsters don't seem to mind it. It is very soft."

"this bedding is great.someone said that after 3 days it started to smell hmm i dont know if this is the same bedding you bought because i have 6 gerbils in one cage alone and it does not smell after 3 days heck i can go a very long time with out cleaning it and they are fine and no stench none what so ever now rabbits it does not smell but i personally dont use it for them i have to clean the bedding every 3 days if i use it for my 3 rabbits then again i have 3 so maybe it is best for someone that only have one bunny but over all great bedding soft and comfy just they way they likei t as they like to burrow."
