"I would not buy this product for a gerbil or any animal that chews. the shelves are too easy to chew up, and there are no replacements. the cage as a whole is a pain to put together and is easy to fall apart if knocked the right way. the shelves are hard to keep up and the tabs on the top that hold the lid to the wire sides are easy to come off. dont waste your money"

"I love this cage and so do my hamsters. They like it because it's roomy, they have a wheel for exercise, and they have a den to sleep in. I like it for the looks, the fact that my boys have plenty of room for toys, treats, and a house, and I love the fact that it's got the wire for great ventilation. So many other cages just enclose your pets in glass or plastic and they can't breathe and chance overheating. The setup was very easy, everything snaps into place and stays together well. I take the whole thing apart once a week to clean it. I just take it all apart, wash everything in the tub, and put it back together. The whole process takes about 45 minutes. All the plastic is super easy to clean and dry and is safer then wire cages. The wheel is great! Sure it makes a little noise, but you find me a wheel that doesn't and I'll give you a cookie. Great cage overall, haven't had a single problem in the past 6 months."

"My hamster got out twice in a row so we had to tape up the lookout tower. Also the wheel barely spins if you buy it should get an add on wheel.Other than that it's a pretty good cage."

"i just got my hamster,Millie, last Sunday! i bought this cage for her because they didn't have the one i wanted...she loves itt!! i'm soooooo happy i saw this one because the wheel doesn't squeak and she loves the wheel soo much that she sleeps in itt!! it's so much fun to see her get around in the bubble tubes!! I would TOTALLY reccomend this cage to first time hammy owners!! "I bought this a few months ago for my dwarf hamster. He absolutely loves it. Sure, the wheel is a little loud, but most wheels are. I've not once had a problem with taking it apart to clean. Most of the tubes are short enough that you don't even need to take them apart to clean them. Just use a bottle brush. I've already added many more tubes, and connected it to the Crittertrail Two. I love the crittertrail products. So far, the hamster has not figured out how to open the door, and the bars are too close together for him to squeeze through."

"i got this for my hamster when his old broke. i love it! he has never excaped which makes me very happy! I put an igloo on the bottom and he loves to hang out in there or he LOVES to sleep and play in the wheel. over all this cage is great!"

"this cage was fun and and worked good for the first two weeks but then the wheel did not work right. it started making even more noise by the day. then finally i couldnt use it then i had to put another wheel in the bottom. the tubes are so hard to clean and they are hard to take apart. i've already broken like 3 becuase i was strugling to take it apart!!!! i dont really recemend it but whoever is, plz be carefull!!"

Vivi in the Observation Tower
Awesome Cage

"We got this cage for my hamster, Vivi, when he outgrew his old cage. I really like the large Turn-About wheel because it can be removed, making a safe place for Vivi to run about while his cage is being cleaned if I don't want him running around the floor in his ball. Vivi also seems to enjoy the observation tower, where he makes his nest every morning and hides his food. The cage is large enough for him, the only problem being that he figured out how to open both doors to the cage, but that was easily fixed by using bread ties, which he does not nibble at. Overall, I would say this was a very good purchase and keeps my little buddy very happy day in and day out."

"my mom bought this for me for christmas, i thought it looked great and fun, but after about a week or two my hamster had used the wheel too much and the plastic had worn down and the wheel tilted to the side, my hamster was a dwarf so he wasnt heavy enough to push the wheel, so he never got to use it, then when it came time to clean it, the tubes were so hard to take apart that all the feces and stuff that was in there stuck to the tubes and made the cage stink like crazy, but i couldnt wash them because it was so hard to take apart, point is, dont buy this. the only part that i really liked about this cage was the little den at the top, my hamster loved it, it looks great but its just way more trouble than its worth."

"This a great cage... It's so cute and my gerbils love to run in the wheel. But it's very noisey and it's unstable. The clip to attach the wheel does not work, but I made do with the sound because they love it so much, and haven't escaped!!"

"This is one of the most difficult pieces of work that I have ever tried to put together. We followed the directions to the letter and when we got it together the large wheel came LOOSE and the hamster got out. It did not seal together. I am going to return the product to the store."

"looks nice, but after the first week the whole thing falls apart. i went to pick it up to move it and it just collapsed on me almost making me drop the hamster. after that the plastic wheel started to wear down and made this really annoying squeaking sound due to the plastic rubbing agaisnt the plastic."

"I bought my kids a hamster which they named Sandy for Easter since I had one when I was a child and enjoyed it so much! When I saw this cage first impression was it was great. When we got it home it took about 10 minutes to put it together. It only took 1 day for the thing to start falling apart. The hamster didn't use the bathroom in the wheel but it did constantly fill it with food and litter. After the first night we noticed the plastic where the wheel attaches to the tunnel was starting to wear away and the wheel became crooked. Everytime the wheel went around it would hit the side. The lookout tower was worthless because once the hamster got up there it freaked out and when she tried to get out it fell down the tube. She never went up it again. The door should of just been left off because it served no purpose. Any hamster with a brain would have been able to open it. I only had the cage for 3 days before it got thrown in the trash! I ended up buying a 10 gallon glass aquarium for 1/2 the price and it is 100% better. Save your money!!!!"

"My title says it all. The wheel was used so much by the hamsters that the plastic started wearing down and made the whole wheel bend to the left. The bedding and food got caught in all the tubes...all in all we spent half the cost for a different cage and the dazzle went in the trash!"

"The first day I got this cage I thought it was perfect!!! It was roomy, had a look out, and a wheel. Until it was time to clean it. It was a mess. There was food in the wheel. She also used it as a bathroom. But overall The great part about the cage is the look out. Until you clean it. We tried to pull the bottom of it and all the bedding, shavings, and droppings were scatered on the floor. Out of the 3 cages I have this is the worst. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!"

"my mini hampster Lafifi leaves droppings all over the place. She gets stuck in the tubes, it;s wrong that the size of these tubes are for anorexic hampsters, not fair to my little laff laff. Also, once she was going down the straight tube and totally fell on her head, wasn't able to get a good grip. I felt so bad it ruined my day."

"I got a new Hamster because my old one died :(. We also got this cage.
Setting up: The setting up was very simple, and I don't know why everyone is saying it wasn't.
Lookout tower: Fantastic! My hamster can not get out, (he is a dwarf) and we have lots of fun petting him and fedding him up there.
Wheel: One word: BAD! This is the almost part. The first time he got up there, he could not run, and he got stuck. We had to take him out and dump him into the cage. Now, he wouldn't go back up there. So we had to put the wheel from the old cage. I did not like the wheel.
Over all, this cage is great. The wheel wasn't a big problem, since the other one was a huge save. The cage is very big, so There is room for toys, Snacks, and the wheel.
I suggest this cage but only if you have a backup wheel. I can't gaurenete this will happen, but to be on the safe side, you should.
Basicly, my hamster loves the cage. Yours will too!"
