The best litter for bunnies so far!

"We have tried all sorts of litter (including corncob, Carefresh or pelleted litter to name a few) for our pet bunnies over the last decade. So far, Kaytee Soft-Sorbent (we prefer fragrance and color-free) has proven to be the best litter on the market. It truly absorbs moisture very well and provides superior odor control. We have five pet bunnies and our household is completely odor-free thanks to Kaytee Soft-Sorbent. Our bunnies often love to sit in the litterbox for quite a while. The litter is so soft that we no longer have to worry about calluses on the bottoms of their paws. The bunnies sometimes push the litter around and out of the litterbox. The litter is very easy to pick up with a vacuum cleaner and it will not obstruct the vacuum cleaner hose. It is also easy to scoop out only the wet spots if necessary. Kaytee Soft-Sorbent is definitely a winner in our book. Also, we have been buing this litter from Petco for nearly a year now and we have been very satisfied with the price and the delivery service (we live in a rural area). Thank you!"

"I had been using the CareFresh Ultra, but couldn't stand the dust anymore. My guinea pigs' habitat and the surrounding furnishings in the room were constantly white with dust - can't have been good for them, despite the high ratings of Care Fresh. I switched to the Soft-Sorbent about 6 months ago - wish I had done so sooner. Little-to-no dust is healthier for my pets and my family. It's absorbent, easy to spot clean, and I have no odor problems. I order online when it's on sale, order enough to qualify for free-shipping, search for coupons, and pay about 25 - 30% of what I had spent on CareFresh Ultra!"

"I love this bedding, and so does my guinea pig! It has no odor, and it is so absorbent! Every time I change the bedding, my guinea pig happily popcorns and runs all over the place. He is always really excited for fresh Soft-Sorbent. The only downside is that it is very easy to kick around and out of the cage. It also gets into the food bowl when my guinea pig lifts his paws onto the edge of the bowl. This is only a small matter, because all you need is a broom or a vacuum and problem solved."

"I bought this product in bulk because it was such a great deal. Out of the many beddings I've tried, I've found this has the best odor control. The only "problem" I guess is that it's such small pieces of bedding that stick to my long haired teddy's fur and kinda make a mess. Nothing the vacuum can't handle though!"

"This litter is really good for odor control for bunnies. However, it is easy to kick this litter out of the litter box, which often happens. But at least the smell is under control. Also, it is soft for their feet, since they sit in the litter box some of the time."

"the product is very good, i don't have to use much, not like pine or aspen bedding that i have to pour generously into the cage, i only cover bottom with a thin layer of this product and it absorbs everything, the only problem is i bought this product for $11.99 for 27.5 L, but right now the price is over $15, so i will wait until it's on sale again, then i will probably buy 10 bags"

"I've had many small animals over the years and used all different kinds of litter from wood shavings to shredded & recycled paper to old shirts, etc. You name it, I've tried it. Kaytee Soft-Sorbent litter is absolutely the best I have ever used, without a doubt. It controls odors, is environmentally friendly, soft and comfy for my companion animals, and they love pushing the tiny bits around when it's fresh. It's relatively dust-free, though no litter is completely without dust. I wouldn't get the one with colors though since I am not sure about the dye used or if it would have health effects."

"I liked the whole thought of less oder in my house. The price tag also impressed me. But if you don't like to vaccum and clean a whole lot then this really isn't your cup of tea. I use it for both my rabbits and my sister's guinea pig. All three of them kick it out of their cages and make a mess all over where the cage is at. Plus it sticks to their stomachs so everytime they go to play they leave a trail of the stuff. Maybe it would work better on smaller animals.
Pros: Cheap and helps cut down on smell.

Can't Live Without It!

"People are often shocked when they come into my room and realize I have a hamster. That's because this fabulous bedding easily absorbs the smell.
I love this stuff. I would never go without it. Not only is there little to no dust, it absorbs bad odors completely. One month, when I was extremely busy, I had to put off cleaning the habitat for a longer period than usual; to my delight, there was no increase in smell whatsoever.
The only downside is that the animals can kick it out easily, but as I use an aquarium, I've never had this problem.
I absolutely recommend this!"

"This product was fantastic! I have a guinea pig and he is very messy but these little ball like things are easy to clean up and absorb very well, but my guinea pig doesnt like how they feel on his feet so I put Carefresh Ultra Pet Bedding over it."

"I used this bedding for my guinea pig. She loved it. There is not a lot of dust to this bedding, and it is very absorbent. I really like this litter because it keeps the smell down and is light and fluffy. The only downfall that I have had with it is my piggy likes to run and she flips the bedding out of her cage. It vacuums up fairly easily; just make sure you pick up the larger pieces beforehand."

"this is an awesome product!!!! it is highly obsorbent,really soft, and almost dust free. i was kinda worried about my guinea pigs kicking out the bedding because it is tiny but that has not happened.if you have a cage with a base for the bottom then this bedding will not spill out. also it does not clog the vacume and vacumes up nicely. it is a must have for guinea pig owners!!!!!"

"I used this for over 2 months with my 9 female ratties. I love it, This bedding keeps the odor at bay for more then a week with 9 ratties all living in one cage. The only problem...is my girls loved to kick it out of the cage so everyday I did have to vacuum. But overall, fabulous product for a resonable price."

"I love this bedding!!! My Holland Lop, Trouble, loves it, too. My favorite aspect of the product is that it keeps the dust level really low and that it collects the rabbit fur so it's not flying around everywhere. Trouble also loves to push this stuff around in his cage for fun. I use it only for bedding and use Yesterday's News for his litter box."

"We normally use the corncobs for my rabbit's litter box. Unfortunately in two days, the ammonia smell would toxically knock you out. Started layering Soft-Sorbent under a corncob layer and it's Fantastic. The soft-sorbent absorbs extremely well and controls odor like you wouldn't believe! Thankfully the corncobs are heavy enough to keep the paper stuff from flying out of the litter box. It's annoying to buy two kinds of litter but it's worth the trouble. 100%"

"My guinea pig kicks this stuff EVERYWHERE. I have to vacuum it up constantly, pick it out of her food-and some of the pieces are sooo tiny, so it's annoying. it's a great price, and if you have the time to pick out of bowls and off your floor then bby all means go for it. I only use the white bag of Carefresh, cost more but is so worth it. I had to change this stuff out twice as much!"
