"I was hesitant to buy this product because of the cost, but it was well worth it for the time my dog spends playing with it! Gracie LOVES this toy! I sometimes put the squirrels in my laundry basket for a day or two so they smell like me, she loves that. Or put a treat in with the toys, she usually then gets overzealous and gets her head stuck in the "tree", as seen in the picture :-). I would definitely recommend this toy to anyone!"

"This Hide-A-Squirrel toy is so great for my small dog. My dog loves playing with it and loves to try to get the squirrels out of the holes. It is a fun and exciting game for her that she can play with for a long time. And when the squirrels are out of the holes by themselves, that is another fun game by itself. My dog loves the squeaky squirrels and loves to bite them and wrestle with them."

"If you have a young dog this is probably not the best toy. If you dog likes to chew things up or if your puppy is teething this is a toy you don't want to get. I just bought the toy for my dog Nikki and she has almost torn between two of the holes."

"I have 2 dachshunds who are crazy about this toy. I bought 2, 1 for a back up because my one doxie doesn't usually play with toys very long. As soon as she saw her brother with this she would run and steal the squirrels off of him, so we ended up giving her the second set. We have squirrels all over the place.
They play with them for hours on end.
The company who makes this also makes one that is a bee hive with 3 bees.

"My dog can entertain herself for a long time with this toy. Unlike the log, she doesn't rip and tear at the squirrels...maybe she thinks they're her babies. Fun to watch her carry them around and keeping them together. The squirrels make a funny squeeking sound which adds additional enjoyment for my dog...she thinks they're crying I guess. I trimmed-off the squirrels whiskers to keep my dog from chewing them off and swallowing them. Good durable, soft and safe toy."

"I have four puppies at home, a mutt, rat terrier, and two shih tzu, and all of them love this toy! As soon as it was out of the box, a squirrel was out and the mayhem began! They love trying to get the squirrels out of the stump, stealing squirrels from each other, and even playing with the empty stump! The squirrels are the perfect size as they are not too big for the shih tzu mouths but are not too small for the mutt. I would definately reccommend this product to others!"

"My German Shepherd LOVES this toy. We have had to replace the tree twice, but now we have nine squirrelys to play with. He loves it. It is the best toy ever and his favorite. We pick up the tree at night and put it on top of a shelf so he can't reach it, to try and get it to last longer. But when I have to throw it away, he just sits in front of the shelf looking for it until I finally get to PetCo to get a new one. He doesn't forget about it either. He jumps around the store until we get to the check out and I have to open it in the car or he will go nuts!!!!"

"This toy is absolutely our Mini American Eskimo's favorite. Despite his destruction of the stump due to over zealous loving, he still plays with the squirrels constantly. The squirrels are the perfect size for him to squeak easily."

"This is our Pug's favorite toy. He loves this toy so much that a few of the squirrels no longer make noise from so much use. That's not a statement on the quality of this toy, but rather a statement on how much our puppy has played with it! He'll even play with the tree by itself when he's had enough of the squirrels. Overall, the best toy we got for our new puppy."

"My 2 year old yellow lab can't get enough of this toy. She takes the squirrels out and plays with the tree trunk. then when she's ready for bed she takes her "babies" with her. She herds them. She licks them, snuggles them, keeps them warm. She LOVES them. If I say get your babies- she brings them out one at a time and makes sure they all stay together. I can't get over how many hours of playtime she has with this toy. My dog is spoiled and has more toys than most kids and this by far is her favorite!!!"

"My Black Lab loved this toy. I bought it for him at 3 months of age and he played with it over and over. I did not have to put it in my dirty clothes hamper as the directions suggested. He just got the idea right away. He is a distructive chewer and after 3 months just decided to rip it apart. I intend to get another as he is now better trained and has settled down."

"This toy is not only fun for dogs, but their owners as well. My dog likes me to chase him and try to get his toy away. With the muliple squirrels, when he is teasing me, trying to get me to chase him, I just squeak a different squirrel and he drops the one he has to go after the one I have. It's also fun to squeak two or more squirrels at the same time-my dog goes crazy.
This was my dog's favorite toy that he got for Christmas. It's hard to find good toys for small dogs. My shih tzu and my mother's pekingnese both love this toy. The squirrels are durable and squeak easily. I paid $18 for this in the store, which I thought was expensive, but it's worth the price. I highly recommend it."
