This collar works great. It took about 10 mins for for two mini aussies to figure out bark and spray. Its been a year and the battery still works. Now, i just put the collar on, and don't even turn on the device, and i get the same results, no barking from the dogs.
My question is, do you turn the device off?
Ive found that my wife and daughter just take the collar off and they don't turn the device off. That could have drained your battery.
Anyhoot, My original battery works just fine a year later.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This collar works great but the battery dies fast. We have only turned it on a few times and it is dead. it lasted 3 weeks. The collar works though. My dog knows she can't bark when it's on so she stops when we use it and when we don't she barks. Well, all I can say is it is worth it to have one if your dog barks as much and as loud as mine but i wish I would have gotten the rechargeable one!

I guess the battery works fine, however the Petsafe little dog collar i use the battery in sucks the life out of this battery in about a month.... so the cost to benefit ratio is not good

Ther battery is small and compact, however it doesn't last very long. I seem to have to replace the battery every few months which can become costly. Petco is one of the few places I can actually find the battery and is also the cheapest. Bottom line is if you use the containment system, you need to replace the batterys. Petco is the place to buy them.
I would recommend this to a friend!
