"There is a few products that I would not be without for my birds. The products are cuddle bone, bird seed lightly, these exact pellets and I also buy the Exact rainbow pellets as well.. Other than that the millet spray is excellent and all of my tiels LOVE the egg biscuits that you can buy at your pet store.. They are hard biscuits made of real egg and my tiels love to chew them up! These Exact pellets here are excellent they are the main part of my cockatiels nutrition. Bird seed alone is NOT enough and sometimes it is hard to convert cockatiels from seed to pellets so most people mix these with seeds a little at a time until the tiel is completely converted, you do not want your tiel to starve. The pellets provide better nutrition alone than seeds but seeds have a lot of fat.. Some fat is important for birds so I do give seeds every day but in small ammounts about a spoon a day and the rest is pellets and my cockatiels are very happy and healthy!"

"I had fed my cockatiel on regular seed for the first ten years of his life. I tried extruded food once but my bird didn't seem interested. 10 years ago, someone I met at a friend's wedding who worked for the zoo in some capacity read me the riot act about my feeding practices. She said, "if you fed your bird Doritos for his whole life, he mightnot be interested in carots the first couple of times either. " We decided to give it a try and Gus has never been ill a day in his life! Of note, we prefer the "original" version to the Rainbow -- the Rainbow for some reason makes a huge mess."

"This product was recommended by my vet after one of my cockatiels took pneumonia and their beaks were growing very long and had to be trimmed. I was told they were not getting proper nutrition. My birds have been on this food for 4-5 years and are in excellent health."
