"The Jeep Rubicon Pet Jogger is solidly serious machine. It has the smoothest ride of any pet stroller I've driven seriously (six so far), and as long as you want to go straight ahead, this stroller can be pushed with your little finger. If you plan to exercise with your pet in tow, this stroller will allow you to do so with aplomb--walkathons, 10Ks, it is entirely conceivable that your life will become more active and your horizons broader if you make this stroller a part of your life. Before I wrote this review I used the Jeep Jogger exclusively for a full week, strolling over as many different surfaces as were available, with varying weights of pets in it, including asphalt, gravel, wet and dry grass, packed and loose sand, wooden bridges and hills (no snow at this time of year).
The rear wheel brakes are sure and all the wheels have quick release mechanisms. Being bicycle tires, they also have the added security of local help in times of need, and the compact pump that comes along has a place of its own in the lower basket. I'm sure the air adds to the nice suspension too.
One of the very things that distinguishes the Jeep Jogger from the AT3 (both from Pet Gear and available from PetCo.com), the fixed front wheel, keeps the stroller super stable, but also not as easily maneuverable as its older cousin. I imagine it's fun for children to get tilted when a turn needs to occur, but they are already in a sitting position when in a stroller, while animals may be sitting up, and the floor changing angles dramatically all of a sudden may not be so welcome or easily understood. While the AT3 front wheel locked still enables one to "veer" up to 45 degrees off straight, I could easily get only about 20 degrees off straight with the Jogger, 30 degrees with effort. This is not your everyday stroller to go shopping and visiting with. However, if you want to, or you already spend time outdoors with your animals, then THIS IS the stroller for you! Having the Jeep Jogger on an unpaved hiking trail in a state park made a five-mile hike an absolute breeze. The places where I remember learning pretty fast to be aware of when I had to approach crevices and dips perpendicularly with the AT3 (front swivel wheel unlocked), the Jogger barely noticed! It was great that the fixed wheel could be maneuvered easily off asphalt, mostly because unlike paved roads, blades of grass, dirt and little rocks are NOT fixed. The sure rear brake gave me so much comfort on the bluffs, as I'm sure it was awfully nice for the passengers too.
The bonus if you make this your everyday stroller? You'll get an upper-body workout as well as working your legs, and your pets will get to experience the outdoors in ways and places they may never have gotten to go before, in a safe and comfortable way."
