stainless bowl isn't
Date: April 11, 2008
"Two months ago we purchased this large stainless bowl for our Golden Doodle.
It's used for water only and today it's started to rust.
I always thought that stainless didn't rust but now I find it depends on what kind of stainless is used.
We just found out that the most commonly used stainless steel for sinks, flatware, appliances, and other consumer products is Type 304 but other less expensive and less corrosion resistant stainless steels are sometimes used and they will not provide equivalent performance.
I guess this bowl isn't Type 304.

"I Love this bowl. Easy to clean and holds a lot! It doesn't tip over and stays in one place. My dog loves it too."

No Replacement Rubber Ring
Date: January 20, 2008
"These dog bowls are indeed heavy and strong. They are very big and are for a larger breed of dog. However, the non-slip ring will deteriorate and weaken fast, even when not exposed to the sun. You will end-up buying a new bowl in a few months because these non-slip rubber rings are not available individually and they break without warning. You will end-up with a feeder that scoots around on the floor. I like other bowls with a different non-slip ring and I would buy one of them!"

Good Bowl
Date: June 25, 2007
"We have a set of these for our golden retriever, Molly. It's the right size for her food at her water. It's also high enough the water doesn't slosh out. This bowl rocks!"
