Worth the Money

"My grandmother gave this to our dog a few years ago, and at first we didn't like the idea of it. Our dog is rather large, and can't get hit bottom jaw through the middle of the ring, making it hard for him to pick up. But later we realized that his struggle to pick it up was actually beneficial - it kept him interested, and the repeated biting helped his teeth. He has lost interest over time, but the time he spent playing with it when it was new made it worth the purchase."

"I love KONG toys, but this one does not measure up. It is very heavy for playing fetch, it does not bounce, the squeaker is very difficult to squeak (I have to put almost my entire body weight on it to get a little squeak), and the tennis ball fabric/felt is quickly pulled off and eaten. Overall, I was very disappointed. Stick with the other, well made, KONG toys."

"My pug loves tennis balls, but when he was a puppy, he couldn't get them into his mouth, so I bought him one of these rings. He loved it, but he tore part of the felt covering off in a couple days and tried to eat it, so I had to throw it out to prevent him from doing the same thing to the rest of the felt. I was hoping the toy would be more durable based on the description."

"The squeaker didn't last very long, but both my dogs still love this toy. Plus, the best thing is that they haven't managed to rip it apart like almost everything else.
It's durable and you can throw it in the washing machine."

"My beagle mix loves to 'eat' her toys, we got her a donut in dec of 06. She did kill the squeaker rather quickly but the toy itself held up wonderfully. We play fetch and tug for at least 3 hours a day, everyday, and it just this week got a hole. Most toys last hours, sometimes days this one lasted 15 months, I'm very impressed and so is Krystal!"

"My toy dachshund litterly poped through and broke the squeaker in less than 1 min. We still play with it and enjoy it but not as much as he would with the squeaker. It was not as durable as the rest of the Kong products!! We got the larger size not the puppy size."

Good for playing fetch...not for squeaking

"My dog really enjoys playing fetch (or keep away from me) with this, because it's easier to pick up than a frisbee, plus it rolls really well when you throw it. HOWEVER, the squeakiness was the reason I bought it for him, but he poked a big enough hole in it with his tooth just carrying it around the first day that it no longer squeaked. But it does float in his kiddy pool, which he loves. Great if you're not looking for a squeaky toy. Also a bit too hefty in my opinion to have him catch it in the air."
