No luck with this one

"Well I bought this for my turtle tank to monitor their basking temperature. On the instructions there doesn't say anything about removing the plastic from the battery... which I know is common sense but I didn't know there was plastic on there to begin with, they should include that on the instructions. So I finally get it all set up and push power and all that comes up is "H" and so I flick it and it goes to -0.0 I waited for a while and it has not changed. I will be returning this stupid thing."

"This digital thermometer is accurate easy to use, easy to read and lightweight. However the battery lifetime doesn't last very long. Also it works for aquatic terrariums too"

Much better than strips
|

"I use this thermometer for my aquarium. It is battery operated with battery included. The probe goes into the water and is connected by a wire to the display unit. Both are mounted with suction cups.
Positive:
More precise temperature readings: .1 degree incriments, either C or F settings.
More accurate than those strips that stick to the aquarium. While the strip read 76 the whole time, the ESU thermometer readings ranged between 73.4 and 77.3
Its stays in place, doesn't get knocked around and thus become temporarily unreadable like the ones that sink to the bottom.
Negative:
One more ugly wire & object inside the aquarium (though its not that bad).
Sometimes the unit doesn't come on or the screen goes blank. I haven't been able to figure out why though I've always been able to get a reading out of it if I jiggle it a bit.
Batteries will eventually need replacing.
Overall, I prefer this type of thermometer to the other choices."

Great choice for a thermometer

"I have one of these on my 125 gal. tank. Because you can turn it on and off the battery lasts a long time. It is accurate too; within at least one degree of the heaters setting. The long cord for the probe allows for convenient placement on my tank where it is out of the way but accessable."

"I use this in my Beta Tank and no priblems what so ever for the time i have had the product and i am still waiting for the battery to run out. Anyways i would definatly recomend this product to anyone. I Also like the accuracy of the item. Its not a sticker with a rainbow inbetween two numbers it give the accruacy to the tenth of a degree. Love it!"

No More Stickers on tanks

"Great product. I thought maybe the battery would only last for a couple of weeks then die. But its been running for the past 6 months now and haven't had no problems with it at all. Its small and sleek, really easy to hide the cord too, if you put it closer to the tank it don't even look like its even attached. The suction cup stays in place. I would recommend this to everyone. So I went and got another one for my other tank too. Great price also."
