Good buy
Date: February 20, 2009
"these are good but the light is not "clear" it is yellow, which is what you get with incandesent. for true white light and full color spectrum you need flouresent. and if you want plants to grow do not buy green, or red!! these colors will kill your plant. these are two colors that are not absorbed in photosynthesis, so they reflect. that is why plants are green, they do not absorb green light. if you want your plants to grow like madness, buy a BLUE light. this is the color of light they absorb the most."

Aquatic Gardens Aquarium Light Bulb
Date: January 17, 2009
"I got 2 of these lights when I first set up an aquarium and I thought was ok at the time, but then I got a hood light that came with a florecent light and that light is much brighter then the 2- 15 watt lights. I can see everything more clearer with a florecent light and would recommend it to everyone. I wouldn't recommend the 15 watt lights. The bad thing about florecent lighting is it seems to frighten the fish more or that they just don't like it that much."

Works great!
Date: May 11, 2008
"I've had great luck with these. They last me a really long time and don't dim.
I use the white for clearity, but if you want to help live plants grow the green bulb is great for that.
Works in all of the Mini-bow tanks, sizes 2.5 and up.
