Too Big & Hard to reach

I bought this for my cockatiel. It's really big and is only practical to put in a very large cage. I put it in his flight cage, so the size wasn't a problem for me but it would be for the typical 20" square cages.
The main reason I don't like it is that there's no way for my bird to perch on it or grab on to it along the sides. I hang a millet spray holder in it, which he can only reach if I put it right next to a perch. They need to make it like the Insight Cuttle Bone Holder (http://www.petco.com/product/100274/Insight-Cuttlebone-Holder.aspx?Ntt=insight%20cuttle%20bone%20holder&OneResultRedirect=1) which is a great cage accessory.
This doesn't work for my cockatiel, and I don't recommend it for larger birds because they'd eat the plastic and get hurt.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The only reason I didn't give it a higher paw rating is because my birds refuse to eat their treats from it. It was easy to install & I thought it was a great product but they just will not go near it for some reason. Usually they love their treat sticks.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Well made and strong but too big for anything but the largest cages. More for parrots than parakeets.
