"This is my cat's new favorite food - enticing aroma and visible vegetables. I've noticed my cat is satisfied and well-nourished while consuming less than with previous brand of kibble. I would highly recommend based on my cat's immediate acceptance of this food as well as on the high quality of the ingredients. I will definitely buy it again."

"When this food arrived at my home, I put the bag on the counter to open later. Zena, my Persian decided she didn't want to wait. She tore into the bag and helped herself! I bought the natural ultamix because it is holistic, Zena seems happier with how it tastes. I had to lock the bag in the cabinet to stop her from tearing into the bag again! (she never did that with other foods) neat idea that they put dried fruit and vegetable pieces in with the regular cat food."

"My cat, Monkey, has been eating this since he turned 1 year old. Before this, he ate Purina ONE kitten food, IAMS kitten food, and tried but didn't like Chicken Soup for kittens. He didn't enjoy any of those as much as this food. He has lots of energy, soft fur, and it has never made him sick. More importantly, he hasn't gotten tired of it. I don't mind the occasional trip to PetCo to get such a healthy food."

"my cats absolutely love this stuff!! they are so picky about what they eat. i have 3 cats and it was so hard to find them a good food that was healthy and they ALL liked. they devoured the the first bag, then as they filled up on the vitamins and natural stuff they needed, they ate less. (they actually acted like they were starving) now they are healthy and happy and look so much better. they all have more energy and just look more bright eyed and not sluggish anymore. makes you think of what the **** was in all the other food! i will not be going back to other foods. if i did i think my cats would all gang up on me. haha."

"My kitty LOVES this food! He has rejected a couple of brands, but dove right in to this stuff. I like that the pieces are super small and apparently, so does my cat. He usually doesn't clean out his bowl. But he devours the Castor & Pollux food--to the last piece."

"I bought a huge bag of this food and thought my cats would love it because they love chicken soup and other natural foods but they literally would not eat it! I mean they nibbled because I waited a few days to give them something else. For 3 days they would look at me and cry when I walked by their bowl and would only take a bite or 2. I even tried mixing in a food I knew they liked and they picked out only that food! I couldn't believe it. Smart lil guys. Unlike their mom who bought a big bag thinking they would like it. Moral to the story, buy a small bag first and see if your cats like it. My cats are 4 and never rejected any food like this it was a huge surprise"

"This food was really not good. All 9 of my cats threw up after just two days eating it. We usually use Blue Buffalo Sap Select. I had ordered cat litter and food and this was a give away so I figured why not try it? What a mistake. The regular food was on back order so I mixed this with the last of the Spa Select and have now had to throw all of it away. My cats ate it for a total of 4 days and I have never cleaned up such mess before. I actually watched one of my cats spit it out, which I've never seen them do with any other food. The Blue Buffalo arrived today and I've never been so glad to get rid of a food before. I know it works for a lot of these reviewers but my 9 reviewers said NO WAY!"

"I have finicky cats. They have sensitive stomachs and usually eats purina indoor formula. I tried this food for them. They attacked it. They loved it and no sickness. You could see the fruit in the mix. The picked the fruit out first. Their attitudes changed to being happier and their coats were shinier and softer. The food although expensive is well worth every penny."

"When Luna and Jupiter were kittens earlier in the year, I got the Ultramix Kitten food, and they both scarfed it down happily. Then, when they got older, I switched to the Ultramix Adult, and they still love the formula. They eat all the little fruit and vegetable pieces, they inhale the kibble, and as a result, they are incredibly healthy: They hardly shed, their coats are soft as rabbit fur, their eyes are bright, the litter boxes rarely smell, and they have boundless energy. I recommend the Castor & Pollux brand to every health-conscious cat owner I know."

"Just take a quick look at the ingredients. Meat, meat and meat. No corn, no wheat, no fillers... Don't be fooled by cat foods that advertise things that are healthy for humans-- this is a food made for carnivores. In the wild, the only grains that cats eat are from the stomach contents of their prey.
I have three cats who eat only Natural Ultramix (and the occasional bug. hehehe). I have tried other foods, but there is a noticable difference in their energy level, the feel of their coats, and even less odor from their litter box! I'm not kidding-- it's worth a try!"

We Love This Food

"Our two have been on Hill's Z/D formula for a couple of years now because the 17-year old has food allergies. The cost at $50 for a 10 lb bag can be prohibitive for those of us on a budget...and we're not convinced it helped his problem much. Plus having to always order it from the vet, then it wouldn't arrive, then we ran out....ugh. We bought the Ultramix because of it's natural ingredients. We gave each of the cats a little, just to see what the reaction would be. Our finicky 15-year old inhaled the few pieces we gave her and the 17-year old, who usually ate as little as possible of the Z/D, also snarfed down his pieces. We transitioned them over to Ultramix and now they both trot to the bowl when it's feeding time. It's neat to see them eat all their fruits (yes, even the banana chips get gobbled up) and vegetables. My biggest fear is that this product will disappear from the store shelf because not enough people will buy it. Let's get the word out!!!!"

"I had my 3 year old Maine Coon on Science Diet Nature's Best, then Eukanuba, until I found Natural Balance, the food with the most meat content and least corn, wheat, or rice I could find. This was a very expensive food that I still felt like I was "settling" for because it still had so much corn and rice! Cats are obligate carnivores, so I don't understand why so many premium food brands put so much corn and wheat in their foods! I was so glad to find Natural Ultra-Mix, with no corn, and no wheat, and no preservatives. I also like that the fruits and vegetables haven't lost their nutritional value in a heating process. I mixed the food with my cat's old food to transition slowly, and he picked out the new food and left the old. I was concerned he would leave the fruit and veggies and pick out the meat pellets, but it all disappears! I also put my new kitten on the Natural Ultra-Mix baby kitten food, and she gobbles it up!"
