"I like that I buy my cats such great food however the smell from their litter box is really, really awful. I mean so awful I have to turn the air purifier on and spray the air with lysol... Also, the food is not consistently made. I've purchased bags of food from one Petco, and my boyfriend will get the same food from a different Petco and have the food be STALE. I don't know what is up with this company but I know that I'll probably be switching cat food for my two cats in a couple of months.
The cats are lively, happy, and their coats are nice and shiny but I do think that they are shedding more with this food than with their old food...
I think the reason why I like it is because of what's in the food, and my cats eat the veggie and fruit bits out first as well. Who knew that cats like dried banana?!"

"I'm a healthy eater and I decided that my kitties deserved a cat food made without by-products, fillers, and various other mystery-meat ingredients. Unfortunately, my kitties decided that they LIKE by-products and mystery meat. They would NOT eat this food and constantly meowed when i was in the kitchen even though their dish was full of nutrition. This must have been the kitty equivalent of the proverbial cardboard flavored health food."

"Our furbaby got tired of it. When we first started feeding this food, he ate every single morsel in his dish. As time went by, we noticed he was eating less and less of the C&P, but would continue to scarf down the old food we used to feed. This food contains dried fruits along with the kibble, and it might have just been too much for his system to handle. Feeding this food also caused a greater smell from the litter box, so bad it could peel paint off walls!"

"I had been looking for an alternative to corn based cat foods and tried this one. The cats love it and have been doing very well on it. Even my tubby older cat has been able to loose a little weight on this food :)"

"Our cat loves this food. She eats all the fruits and vegetables first then the kibble. This is an all natural holistic food. They use only "human grade" ingredients. A lot of the other companies advertise chicken or meat as main ingredients but most of them are of very poor quality. We advise all of our friends and family to use this food-and they do. You can get a manufacturer's coupon by visiting their website."

"This food is great. No false claims and they do not try to hide or rename bad ingredients. There are no bad ingredients in this food.It is so hard to find a quality food for our pets with all the hype and false advertising out there. I have done a lot of research on cat and dog food and you would not believe what they actually put in our pets foods. They say meat and chicken but most of it is spoiled when it goes to processing.Even the so called "premium" name foods are actually full of ingredients that are bad for our pets. This company does not use a rendering plant (like most of the other big name manufacturers)for the meats. They do not use any discarded restaurant greese to cover the kibble as to entice the pet to eat. This is 100% goodness. I know this information because I also researched the company and have been in contact with the owner. I inform everyone I know with pets about this food."

Great food, but Adult UltraMix is better!

"I switched my two felines to Castor and Pollux after doing a little bit of ingredient list 'research'. I chose C&P because of all the meat products, no by-products and no corn products. I personally prefer the Adult UltraMix, but I bought the Indoor formula because it was reduced below the Adult Ultramix. Next time I'll be buying the Adult Ultramix.
This product is great anyways, I couldn't find anything wrong with it, and neither could the cats. It basically looks like big goldfish pellets with some pieces of banana, carrot and blueberries (at least, that's what I can tell, there's probably more). The cats seem to avoid the carrots a little bit, but eat them when they get to the bottom of the bowl. They actually pick the bananas out FIRST! I would definately recommend this food to anyone. (Though, like before, I recommend the UltraMix first!)"

Doesnt sit well with my cat

"My cat has been on low quality food most of her life, now that i switched to a high quality food, she has been getting sick. I think its just too rich for her system. I like that it is all natural and I hope that in time and while I slowly switch her over she will start tolerating this food better. I was a bit surprised to open the bag and see dried fruits and veggies in the food. I would reccommend this food to people with younger cats who havent lived off of low quality foods for most of their lives."

"It was like an experimant to see which cat would eat which veggies in my house. I was happy to see that all 4 cats (yes 4!) ate all their fruits and veggies. I think those banna chips slow my cat Mowgli down as he vacumes up his food from the dish."
