"Before we adopted Sophie 18 months ago, I did extensive research on a variety of dog foods. With the exception of one or two expensive mail-order foods, I found Castor & Pollux Natural Ultramix Canine food to be one of the best. Sophie loves the food and she's thriving on it. Her weight is perfect, her coat is shiny and her eyes are bright. I also switched my older dog (Baby) to Ultramix. Baby was 15 at the time and struggled with weight and arthritis problems. Baby's health has improved considerably since the switch. I wouldn't feed my dogs anything else."

"My girls (12 & 2) will eat this plain or mixed. I like that this is a very healthy food. They love the little bits of fruits and veggies. They have been eating this for two years now. They have VERY shiney coats which I believe is from giving them a better food. Although a bit pricey - my girls are worth it!"

"I checked and tried many types of dry dog foods. This seems to have the most meat of any. It doesn't have the fillers others do. The first two ingredients are chicken and turkey. This is the only food I've seen like this. My 3 dogs always eat, where I had problems with other food I tried."

"one of my dogs, 12 yr. old Rocky, has allergies and his skin was very flaky and unhealthy, from eating inferior food, Now that he eats Castor&Pollux his skin is much better and I believe it will continue to get completely better after he eats this food for another month or so. My 6 1/2 month old French Bulldog Buster, loves the food also and he has a beautiful skin & coat. I highly reccomend this food!!!"

"This food is amazing. I have been concerned for a couple of weeks as my dog has not been eating well. I tried a couple of other high end brands with no success. As soon as I put this down the dog ate it all up and seemed to be looking around for more! I am so relieved to have found this food even with its high price. I not only feel good about feeding it to her, she seems to love the stuff. It seems Castor&Pollux has a great product with this food. Give it a try!"

"My two dogs recently got sick off of another brand of dog food, so we were really adamant about finding another brand. The two are really active and never seem full, so I researched the best products to look for in dog food and found this one to be the best. The first few ingredients are natural proteins... not useless filler, so the little extra price is well worth it. With one of the dogs being a finicky, picky eater, I hoped they would both like it.... and they did!!! I'm still amazed at how much they both enjoy eating the food and they never beg for more, so I know it's filling them up. I would highly recommend this brand to anyone."

"Finding the right food in my dog Abbey's first year was difficult, as she turned her nose up at most dry foods. I try to eat as healthy as possible, and I naturally wanted the same for her. I did a fair amount of research comparing ingredients and came across this brand. She is now 3 yrs old and she is completely happy and healthy. My girlfriend's dog has had the same results. Considering the garbage that is in the nationally advertised brands, spending the extra money is well worth your dog's overall health and longevity."

"My Sheltie tried several higher-end/natural type foods. This is by far the best one. She loves it more than any other. It is made with better products. Plus you can see the dried veggies in there! The kibbles are a smaller size for easier eating. Smaller, independent company--easy to contact. Give 'em a try. They are awesome!"

"As a police K9 handler for many years, we always tried to give our dogs the best food possible, which can be difficult to do when every company says theirs in the best.
Well after careful research and alot of experience, Pollock and Castors is the best out there. Due to being all natural with no fillers and preservatives, it dramatically improves the health of your pet, especially noticable in the eyes and coat (very shiny), which is a very good judge on how the pet is feeling inside.
I now have three dogs, a German Shepherd (K9), a Beagle, and a Golden Retriever and I wouldn't feed them anything else. My beagle and golden can be a little fussy, so we soak the food in warm water for a minute or two before feeding. They love it like that. Just be sure not to soak the food so it is waterlogged. You just want to leave it in the water long enough so that the warm water coats the food and makes it just a little softer. Your dogs will love this!!!

"I started using this dog food because one of our dogs had a skin irritation and had really bad dandruff. Little did I know that the cost isn't an issue because it's totally worth every penny! Not only do both my dogs have the healthiest, shiny and soft coat they've ever had, my one dogs actually drules as he waites for my command to eat! He loves the stuff! So it's a win win situation! Please don't waste your time buying other cheaper foods, your dog will only be healthier and happier using Castor & Pullox!"

"I have had two dogs and they both reciently died from a long term of cancer. about 10 mos ago I searched for a long time & did lots of research on different types of dog foods, & their ingredients. I read all the ingredients on this brand of dog food & in my opinion found it has the best by far, compared to other leading brands.
I also wanted to find a more natural ingredient dog food with no by-products, or preservatives. I kept my two dogs on this dog food and I personally feel it had given me more quality time and longer lives with them.
they were more energetic, and shiny coats, and were full of more life. they seemed to be much healthier and happier being on this dog food and gave me more time to have them around me. we just lost them both to Cancer. but I would recommend this dog food to anyone who would want a longer healthier life for their dogs. "I have 3 adult male Newfoundlands. The two elder ones have some pretty nasty skin conditions. After doing A LOT of research, we went to Petco and read labels for over an hour. We decided on this product and have been very happy with the results. 2 picky eaters now enjoy meal time. Feeding this food to 3 Newfoundlands is a bit costly, but they are our boys and we want the best for them. The first 5 ingredients tell the tale."

terrible dandruff, was very underweight (28lb at 6 months old. He
should have been around 50lb.) and had Parvo. Our 3 other dogs have done
amazing on Solid Gold so we tried one of the formulas for Chance as
well. It was great but it happened to cause my boy nasty gas. (Once he
could eat again) So I had to switch him to a new kibble. I went with
Castor & Pollux and don't want to take him off. Great skin, coat,
stools, energy, ect. We now have a happy, healthy, parvo free puppy. :)"

"When I first bought home my boston terrier, Thor, the owner sent home a bag of brightly colored bone shaped kibble. It was obviously the cheapest dog food they could find. At any rate, I had him switched over to Eukanuba when he went to the vet because it was what they suggested and they had given me a tester bag.
I went home and did some research and also went to the pet store to do some comparison shopping. Castor & Pollux puppy food was on sale at Petco, so I decided to try it. My puppy loved this food! Not only did my puppy love it but I felt good about giving it to him. When you open the bag and see the veggies and fruits and how the kibble does not look dry and old you know your dog is eating healthy.
I always get compliments from others that my dogs coat is shiny and soft. He is just so full of energy. He is a bit on the heavier side, but due to treats and not the kibble. I will always buy this product as long as they offer it!"

"I put my American Eskimo on this diet and in addition to many benefits, her constant year round
shedding virtually stopped. Her coat which was perfectly ok before became noticably softer and thicker
(this was in Florida in the middle of the summer!)
