"Our son desperately wanted to add to his hamster's habitat so he used his own money to buy this. The hamster loved it, in fact he moved in and didn't ever want to leave it.
We weren't as happy. The lid on the saucer section is a little tricky to fasten. On several occasions early on we thought it was fastened only to discover an escape in the morning.
It also didn't take very long for the friction joint between the elbow tube and the cage to fail. When that happened this attachment became very wobbly. We had to brace it with string to keep it from flopping over to the side.
Lastly, this attachment raises the saucer section up high enough that it is hard for younger children to see in. This was especially a problem after the hamster moved in permanently. Our son complained that he couldn't ever see his pet because he was up too high."

Came off the Tube!!

"My son's hamster was in it and it came off the tube. He has the big short hair hamster. It would not stay attached to the tube it came off one other time I thought maybe the first time I didn't have it on all the way but it would not go on any further. Lillie the hamster is fine. But not worth taking the chance of her getting hurt I took it off and took it back to the store. It may be OK for little light weight hamsters like a dwarf hamster."

"I got this item for my Roborovski hamster, Tot and she seemed scared of the height of it at first. I had to shorten the look-out tower to the curved tube. She finally went. The extra tubes sit in her house and she loves to run through them. I put seeds in her tower and she seems really happy!"

Best Expansion Ever

"Ok So I bought this one and I also Bought Expansion 3. My hammie hates expansion 3. The little potty house it comes with, he's scared of it. The wheel on the outside of the cage... he loves it, but its way way way too loud. The purple curly tube he doesn't right like to much. He Loves this look out tower though. He climbs in there and just hangs out there. I put some aspen bedding in there, but he kicked it all down the shoot and just hangs in there with nothing. it also makes it really easy to take him out of it to play with him as you scoop under him so he won't bite you. This is one of the best expansions I've seen and my hamster loves it. I do admit it isn't much, but for it not being so much it sure makes one happy hamster and that is all you can really ask for."

"i thought this extention kit for my daughter's hamster was okay. 9 think it could come with a little more houses or wheel or something. but it was okay. my daughter seems to be happy. but i think the money i spent on it could use a little more in the package. thank you.
